Hint, Hint: Ron Paul to join presidential debate

Former Republican presidential candidate and Texas Rep. Ron Paul is expected to participate in a primary debate in South Carolina on July 10, the state party announced Friday.

This is it Ron Paul supporters! I'd say he is seriously considering running for president.

Paul has filled out the paperwork for a presidential exploratory committee, a spokesman for Paul’s PAC Campaign for Liberty told The Daily Caller, although he has not official announced his candidacy. PAC spokesman Jesse Benton said they have all the forms prepared so that Paul can “flip the switch” as soon as he decides to run.

Awesome! I think he is gonna run.

“I’d say this is a sign that he’s giving a really strong consideration to [running],” Benton said of the debate. “The money’s been great, the enthusiasm’s been great. … The polling in New Hampshire’s really strong so we’re feeling good.

I agree!

Dailly Caller Article
So there you have it. Ron Paul could very well be running for presidency. Let's hope this leads to brighter days..

P.S.: Please keep this discussion thread healthy. Thank you. Please contribute. Don't troll.

This is good news. I campaigned heavily for Ron Paul back in 2008. I was a co-organizer of my local Ron Paul meetup group and it was a fairly large and active group. When Ron Paul came to Chicago, we took a carload of my local Ron Paul meetup people to meet other meetup groups in downtown Chicago. We had thousands of people that met up at Millennium Park.

Chicago Police gave us a police escort from Millennium Park to the Chicago Hilton where Paul was speaking. They shut down all intersections in between and allowed us to march from Millennium Park to the Hilton. While we were outside of the Hilton in line to get inside, Paul was driven by slowly so that he could wave to everyone. The large room Paul spoke in had seating for 2000 which quickly filled up. Then there were people standing on all sides around the room, outside of the room, and there were overflow rooms as well.

Good times. That was the first and only time I've campaigned for a President and will do so again if Paul does run.

Wonderful story! I'm amazed at your dedication and passion towards this man.

I just found out about the man about a week ago. I did a brief background check on him and I can confidently say that we are supporting the right man. He's stood beside his principles and views on freedom for thirty years and never once was he derailed from his ideals. For how many people can you say the same? That's why I think he's different and not part of the corporate system. The American people deserve to have him as president. I believe he would be able to get rid of the parasites that have taken over the host that is America.

I support you and even though I'm not American I have hope that people like you will be able to save the country.

Star for you.

It is very unfortunate that he is so old these days, the marginalization of his viewpoints worked so well for 20+ years. Thing is, his views haven't changed at all, but the public is beginning to realize that he was right...well those who have enough cognative ability to read his books or attention spans long enough to listen to him speak anyway. Although I completely support Ron Paul and take offense to idiots who try and ridicule him for "kookyness" even though they really have no idea what he is about or the ability to understand him, even the free-market is fatally flawed. People are going to have to start facing the reality that capitalism, even free-market capitalism, relies on people not being greedy idiots to such a degree that they purposefully screw everyone else. We MUST have a system that greed cannot survive in. If, and only if, money couldn't by the courts and congress then MAYBE free market capitalism would have a chance. Unfortunately, that isn't the case and we all know it.

Anyway, I love Ron Paul for being such a honerable man with impeccable integrity. If he did become president, the power behind the throne would crucify him...period. I'll still vote for him anyway though.

McCain was horrible, I left my ballot blank, I voted for judges and local races.
As a Tea party/ independent/republican, McCain was as bad as Dole.

Dare I say it? First off,McCain wanted to legalize illegal aliens. That is a No vote to start, the rest of his policies are suspect at best being a republican from there on out.

I know a lot of people don't think he has a chance, but the majority of people I know plan to vote for him.

I agree with your post but I'd like to say that even though he is old, this may also be one of his greatest strengths. He has nothing to lose. Let's face the music. He has ten years left if we are speaking average. I would argue just enough time to make it past the presidency. I'd say his health is vital for the preservation of TPTB's plan of world domination. If we had that big of a scandal with the assassination of president kennedy back in the days, imagine the world's reaction to the same story nowadays. People might be asleep nowadays but not that asleep as to let the same game slip twice.

By the way I admire your support for this man's ideals. And I applaud you for voting for what you believe in, regardless of the candidate's chances of success. I like that a lot. Most people don't realise that making your vote count means voting for the one you believe in most, not the one who has the most chances of winning.

Star for you.

I think he might be given real consideration by the public this run.

But can he maintain his own views and beliefs to become president? It's an honest question.

He has been doing just that for the past 30 years! I guarantee you he won't crack. Look up his history. He is more than ready to be president. He deserves it and America deserves it.

I have quite a warm spot for Ron Paul, but let's be honest here:

Everything normally looks good with the guy until he starts gaining some traction, then the media start in and it's all over. Cable news is a joke, which would make the people getting all their opinions from it a joke also.

Add to that, most people couldn't really care less and/or defend their positions with anything approaching thought or understanding. There is the problem and there really isn't much to get around that until there is a far larger disruption in the status quo. When that disruption happens, god help us cause then those dunderheads will be following... Who knows, but I have a real suspicion that it won't be good.

Sure there are a lot of people to still wake up. But like Ron Paul says, it's getting there. People are starting to wake up and seeing the system.

Wrong, the large majority of people will never wake up because they don't want to and never will. They will follow who is loud and influential, to what ends one can only guess at but I have serious doubts that the end result will be anything approaching the founders.

The idea of waking people up is a joke and always has been. Some just don't want to own reality. Take it from someone who's been fighting this fight for a long time.

Peace
KJ

that is why i feel being a volunteer for his campaign is vital. if they wanna ignore him on t.v. and print then it will be up to the people to do it the old fashioned way. door to door-face to face. i know this sounds like hard work, but what is your country worth to you?

i remember when he would win the republican debates by landslides and they would not even list his name in the results like he didnt even participate. this is our chance to get the peoples voice heard and our country back in our hands. please everybody dont get lazy on this, to darn important.

Ron Paul will not be president this time. Anyone that understands how the electoral process of the US works knows this.

Only time will tell what direction the US Nationalist movement (duh, TEA party) will take...

Let us not forget that:

Sometimes Nationalists turn into NAZIs,

Sometimes they save their country.

If the revolutions in the middle east are showing us anything, they are showing us that revolutions aren't important--- It's who runs the revolution that really matters. We would be wise to apply this notion to our own political process, I think.

I was also a volunteer for his campaign and will be again. Do not take my realism to mean that I will not be involved in trying to help him gain traction with the people.
