I like Ron Paul but he is not slick or hawkish enough for the republicans.
Also think he would hit brick walls as all Presidents do even with the best intentions. He might be leader of the democracy or the republic but not the plutocracy of the United States. He would always be the outsider. Also guessing the Pentagon would not let him play in any reindeer games

You know it's like Bill Hicks summised. He reckoned that all new presidents were taken into a room full of suits sat around a table room full of cogar smoke and a film of Kennedy's assassination is played. The head of the table turns around to the new president and asks - 'Any questions, Mr President?'
