Basketball goals illegally taken down?

I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but I would like the opinions of the fine folks on ATS. In the video below, a man from Claymont, Delaware tries to defend his right to have a goal on HIS property, but in the end he loses not only his rights, but also his basketball goal. So what are your thoughts on the matter?

I though this was an April fools joke. Are some government bodies actually this screwed up? I could understand doing it if there was some really bad workmanship in putting it up as you don't want it falling on any one. But to take down a good hoop is just pure evil and crying out for a lesson. Must be some fat slob who could not sink a ball if his life depend on it behind it.
