Did anyone else here a loud rumbling swooshing noise in the sky in Prince William County VA?
It happened today on 1/15 around 12:30am. Went outside because it was loud enough to catch my families attention. Couldn't see anything in the sky, but could hear it like if it was right on top of us... Happened for about ten minutes then disappeared. Haven't heard it since. planes around here are high up and usually we could barely hear them. This wasn't a regular plane.

What you saw wasnt a normal plane, it was the air forces newest most bad ass and unfortunatley extremely loud fight jet the f-35, youll be seeing and hearinf em a lot, they just re ently went active this year, thise things will rumble a whole ccity, look up eglin afb and the surrounding cities, some people are pissed and trying to get the bases to get rid of em. If you live in the south i feel bad for you cus your gonna have to deal with it for now on. Im glad i get discharged soon and im going back to cali and i dont have to deal with it anymore. So no not aliens, wannabe tom cruises who are all wet cus they got a new toy.oh ya im a pllane mechanic, fuel system specialist special ops air force

Just for fun, what if there's no such things as Comet Elenin, and they've made the whole thing up and will actually be projecting something into the sky. And these are big machines being transported to various places to catapult debris that we will think is from the comet, all the while HAARP is creating massive destruction and we think it's the apocalypse.

Or maybe they are planting these ships to be uncloaked at a certain time for us to believe benevolent beings have arrived.

Or what if HAARP doesn't create earthquakes and maybe whatever these things are do.

Or maybe the government just likes wasting our tax money to see what super cool things they can build.

Interesting you mention it cloaked in the clouds, as people have taken note that a lot of UFO's do cloak inside of "clouds" or something to that effect.

Unless you mean that it was flying under it, and you saw a visual distortion effect? In which case I definitely get what you're saying too.

Not true. I don't own a mobile and if I ever do, I wouldn't get one with a camera, seems rather superfluous. I find it odd that it seems almost "mandatory" that everyone owns one of these things and that they would have picture/video capturing functionality.

If they had cloaking tech im sure they would attatch to a quieter aircraft, what you are sreing is the f-35, and its here to stay, over the next couple years ur gonna see lots of new a/c in the sky that look like theyre straight outta star trek. Interesting that before cloaking was invented on TV, UFO's we seen 'clearly'. Now we know of 'cloaking' from TV and movies, all of a sudden these UFO's are 'cloaked'. When a TV program has alien craft 'morphing' into various shapes, people will start seeing UFO's 'morphing'....

Is there a picture emerging here that anyone with intelligence can see?

Welcome to ATS, I saw a video about 4 years ago to do with NASA ufos and traveling close to the speed of light, they change the dimension [time and space] around the craft. It stated that a UFO 3 miles in circumference could be right over your heard but you would not see it, and could see right through it because its vibrationial dimension made it invisible. Like what they were trying to do in the Philidelphia Experiment. But he didn't say if you could hear it or not. To have that high of a vibration would probably make noise. Great First Post. S&F

What I'm saying (I can't believe you didn't get it) is that people are seeing things based on ideas that come from TV. Of course it's an F35.

It's a formation of apache helicopters doing a night op. The youtube videos that were being passed around here sounded just like them too. That is also most likely the reason they are able to stay in the general area for 20+ minutes.

The F-35 is the Joint Strike Fighter, and as yet it is not in service. Only last year some VTOL versions were undergoing tethered tests, etc. And, what's the point of an incredibly loud Stealth fighter? It's supposed to be a Generation 5 fighter, most advanced, stealthy, etc.

Although I would like to be proved wrong with them being in service because it means we might get our's in Oz sooner than 2018!!

Did they all leave at the same time? From whom did they win these said trips? Did their whole family go? How well do you know them? Why them and not you, as well? Did they all know each other? It seems strange that so many around you, from different jobs and companies, would all win a vacation at the same time and you would not. Why didn't you enter the same lottery or contest, if you are such good friends with all of these people?

To be honest, this thought has crossed my mind over and over every since Brittany Murphy died of natural causes and her husband died shortly after. My husband and I joked that they were slowly taking people out of society on purpose.

I don't know guys, sounds a little far fetched, but I didn't see it, so I can't say it didn't happen.

I've definitely heard the rumble though, and while the f-35 may be a good candidate to explain some of these experiences, unless one was circling my house for half an hour last week, I'd have to rule that out as what I heard. I would also have to assume that, no matter how loud that plane is, the doppler effect would still apply; the sound I heard was constant, no changing or getting fainter as it would have moved away. Again, it may be what some people have heard, but I don't think it's what I heard.

I'm not prepared to say it was a cloaked alien ship, however.

The picture emerging in MY mind is that you sir, are not enough of a nerd - a Star Trek Nerd to be precise. Cloaking technology was introduced to the world by the Klingons in 1966 - 45 years ago - which is hardly a recent development.
