I feel very strongly that Commercial Jet Aviation should be in the top 2-3 on the list. It changed the way we viewed the world, and more importantly it brought travel, both business and leisure to the masses.

I totally agree. flying has bought fast, last minute traveling into a new light. It shold be near the top, I mean, what would we do without it??

what about the ability to build the things that we do ?

I mean like skyscrapers, tunnels, bridges etc ?

Where would the world be without these ? I know, these are not in the 50 year range, but should be included ?

can I add the microwave to the list?

I mean if we are talking life changing, think of how much time you save every time you use a microwave.
