It's not about oil or gas in this case, but about a stragegically placed control point for the Gulf of Aden.

Looks like US support of another nasty little dictator might be coming to an end then!

Nothing to do with Saudi Arabia or Iran in this case, just a population at the end of their collective tethers and wanting better treatment. The US and their little tinpot dictator have been portraying the rebels as supporters of, or members of "Al Qaida in the Arabian Peninsular" trying to justify the bombing and attacks on these people. It's the predictable playbook these days, say someone or some group is AQ and use that as justification for more death. It's getting as tired and worn out as other oft used classics such as "Anti-Semite"!
