But Pentagon officials reported Sunday that helicopters flying 60 miles from the plant picked up small amounts of radioactive particulates

So a US military chopper already detected radiation farther out than the Japanese government has admitted it to be.

Also this could last for sometime with the plants releasing steam on a constant basis for months. With how many contradictions coming out of the Japanese government how long can they maintain credibility, and will it be a situation like the Deep Water disaster?
