Im just saying you can sit behind your computer and say that all of japans leaders have been incompetent and stupid, but really who are you to say that under any circumstances? i suppose you would have had better solutions?

They say that when it rains, it pours. And one thing leads to another, and eventually it's the straw that broke the camels back. Though the Japanese are one of the most prepared nation for these type of situations, this whole thing from the earthquake to the tsunami to these nuclear reactors blowing, just shows that some things you just wont be ready for no matter how prepared you are.

And they will need all the luck and help that they can muster up. When something like this whole domino effect catastrophe happens here in the states, or other places in the world, expect the same. Though we are not as prepared as the Japanese were, who for generations have had to deal with earthquakes and especially tsunamis. But ya when the dust settles they might want to look into alternate energy generation technologies, preferably ones that aren't prone to causing nuclear hazards.

If you believe nuclear power is as far as we are at as a species in 2011...

Or if you believe that money is NOT more important than safety or human lives....

then you ARE a redneck.... 'might be' doesn't apply to that level of research and logic.

Later Monday, fuel rods at a separate reactor in the plant were fully exposed after it lost its ability to cool down, officials said.
