Ireland's new government on a collision course with EU

Ireland's new government is headed for confrontation with Brussels after the country's ruling party was wiped out on Saturday by voters in a huge popular backlash against a European-IMF austerity programme

the cost of servicing Irish bank debt and the EU-IMF bank loans will consume 85 per cent of Ireland's income tax revenue by 2012, a burden that a majority of voters find intolerable.

Wow, who in their right minds would accept that deal. No wonder the people of Ireland are mad.

""It is not even take it or leave it. It's done. Ireland's only role in this now is to implement the programme agreed with the EU, IMF and European Central Bank. Irish voters are not a party in this process, whatever they have been told," said the diplomat. "

The complete arrogance of the IMF to assume that the Irish people are bought and paid for. I hope they stand up to the tyranny of the IMF (one of the puppetmasters of the NWO)

I agree 100%. I always see people referring to American or British leaders as being the front force of the NWO. It has long been my belief if there ever is a Anti-christ or NWO I find the EU to be a much more likely candidate of these problems. I am glad that the Irish have thrown a wrench in the gears so to speak. Thanks for the info S&F

The link is not working, can you fix it?

On the surface this is an attrocity all to likely to be repeated on a massive scale. The Irish need to do some serious ass kicking imo. The rest of us need to support them before this is done to us.

But the thing is that according to the own party's website and past-direction it's more pro-EU than Fianna Fail....
Interesting...

The people of Ireland must stand up to prevent becoming slaves of the IMF and European Central Bank.
Bankster thieves continue to become richer while the rest of the population is expected to pay for it with "austerity measures".

This is really exciting news, given the anti-IMF fever that is sweeping the globe. Ignored by members of the mainstream media, it was the high levels of poverty in Egypt that spawned the protests there. The poverty and unemployment rates in the country were a direct result of IMF-dictated reforms set forth by Hosni Mubarak in the 1990s. Likewise, Tunisia's unemployment, poverty and food inflation fueled the revolution there, which had instigated IMF-style structural adjustment programs in the late 1980s.

Be in Egypt and Tunisia, Poland in its post-Soviet years, Russia following the fall of the Berlin wall, South Africa after the end of apartheid, Chile under Pinochet, Bolivia, or Haiti, the result of IMF-style structural adjustment programs and rapid-fire privatization, lowering of taxes and removal of regulatory policies has always resulted in a shattered middle class, a bloated lower class, and a small oligarchic minority that lives lavishly amongst the squalor and crime. The logical result has always been a revolution by the general populace, followed by a transition to more democratic say in the economic matters of a country.

Show me a country that functions well as the result of mass free-market reforms and I'll show you a lie.

Hopefully the Irish wake up and remove themselves from the EU entirely, which has done nothing but screw up their country with one massive economic bubble that was sure to crash. Now they are quite literally slaves to the EU/IMF to service the debts, not to mention Irish banks that loaned mostly to European states and corporations not Irish.. They should promptly refuse to service the debt and default and allow the banks to crash completely.

You need to back up a bit. The EU was put together by the Royals. After the EU, there will be more unions to follow - all setup by the same PTB. All evil on this planet, of this nature, leads back to the Royals.

Well not sure what you are on about but the European Union was formed in 1993 as basically a new UN due to Germany and France believing that the UN was no longer efficient so to speak. They were also the ones that introduced the first single currency in 2002.

The European Union (EU) is a union of twenty-seven independent states based on the European Communities and founded to enhance political, economic and social co-operation. Formerly known as European Community (EC) or European Economic Community (EEC).

Date of foundation: 1st November, 1993.

Source

What is this new currency and how does it work?
On January 1, 1999, 12 European Union countries chose to form an economic and monetary union (EMU) and started using the euro. The 12 countries locked their exchange rates to the euro. On January 21, 2002, euro notes and coins became available.

The 12 countries share a single interest rate, set by the European Central Bank (ECB), and a single foreign exchange rate policy. From that date, the ECB was responsible for the monetary policy of these 'euro zone' countries.

What happened on January 1, 2002? On January 1, 2002, euro notes and coins became legal tender anywhere in the participating countries, regardless of the country of origin. They now circulate alongside national notes and coins. Old national notes and coins were removed from circulation by January 31, 2002. This varied some, country to country, but by July 2002, only euros will be in circulation and they will be the official currency. The period from January-July is sometimes referred to as the "dual circulation" period, and it ends soon.

So honestly not sure where you are coming from, but I do believe you are the one that needs to back up.

to be honist we are gutted by the decision of the previous government to accept the eu-imf bailout, the people here didn't want it, our government sold us out!!
what has bien proposed to do by other parties if they got into power was rip up the eu-imf contract and tell them to stick it up where the sun dont shine and personally i wish they done that!! imo the new government that were elected by the people on the ellection just yesterday will do this country no good either!! ya ok they said they will re-negociate the interest rate, BUT thats not the problem, the need to tell the imf to fcuk off and throw out the eu currency and go back to our irish pound (£) currency and say screw ye we will have our dignity we dont need your corrupt policy's.

but unfortunatally our new government wont do that.

the Irish people are still asleep to see the bigger picture! we need something to wake them up and quick!!
i would like to see the protests here to kick out those inbread, ignorant, fat greedy slobs of the imf and eu.

WE WANT OUR FREEDOM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That wasn't an attack on you. What I meant by backing up was to the idea of yours that the antichrist or NWO will come out of the EU. While on paper the EU may be put together by functionaries such as this or that country, the group at the top that are pulling the strings is the British Crown, thus the reason for that graphic. So, to say that the EU is more likely a candidate to bring about these problems would be like saying the gun killed the man, when in reality, isn't it more specific to say the person using the gone killed the man? So, to address what I was saying, the British Crown, perhaps using the EU or any union for that matter, present or soon to be developed, would be used to bring about these problems. Make sense?

You will get your freedoms back as soon as you have paid back all the money you borrowed to buy all that stuff you have.

Put yourself in the shoes of the people whose maoney was borrowed, your giving them 2 fingers and saying they are not getting it.

Doesn't sound fair does it ?

I see what you are getting at, but I am not sure that the British Crown as the leading force behind the EU. I might be wrong but I thought Germany and France were leading force on this one. Both of which are a lot more Socialist then England.

I don't know all that much about the driving forces behind it, but like I said I thought it was the latter. Anyway sorry to come off on you the way I did. I suppose I did take it a bit as you implying I didn't know what I was talking about at all.

Unfortunately, I agree with other posters in here. Regardless of which government gets to control Ireland, the deal with the EU is a done deal, can't be changed at this point.

So how do those economic bailout deals look now?

Not at all. I should have written my post better. Here is a video for you if you would like to learn a little more:

While people don't realize this, both the US and GB take directive from the Crown through the CFR and The Royal Institute of International Affairs (the British counterpart). It would seem contrary to thinking that British would fail under this EU system, however, the Crown aren't British in the nationalistic sense. They are just some Monarchy that never gave up the idea of ruling everybody. Everybody thinks they gave up or stopped colonizing, but they didn't. Using economic and trade unions around the globe, they consolidate and eventually own everything. See how that works?

The Crown is the group behind the groups and it's not British. It's royalty that goes way back and is loosely contained with Israeli tribes (banking), British and European Monarchs, and the Vatican. Today, they operate kind of like this:

The Crown: Oversees all and directs the Vatican for "religious" matters around the world and the Rothchilds use America as the military muscle. What is happening in Ireland is wealth extraction and removal of sovereign rights. This is the model that will be used around the world.

My favorite quote from the OP article.

A European diplomat, from a large eurozone country, told The Sunday Telegraph that "the more the Irish make a big deal about renegotiation in public, the more attitudes will harden". "It is not even take it or leave it. It's done. Ireland's only role in this now is to implement the programme agreed with the EU, IMF and European Central Bank. IIrish voters are not a party in this process, whatever they have been told," said the diplomat.

OP article

My God at the hubris. I agree 100% with rockpuck Ireland should immediately default and drop the Euro. Iceland told the banksters to stuff it they still survive.

That "diplomat" is likely to have his head handed to him if he riles up the Irish. What gall these bums have!
