here is a rough answer; someone will come along with links to more detailed answers.

W="Way-above-top-secret" = total based on combining flags, stars, applause, etc
K=Karma. Differs from W by focussing more on people who post on other people's threads instead of starting their own. I think it accomplishes this by, eg less weight on flags
Also an element of "dividing by the number of posts", so that the figure can go down as well as up. Exact formula unknown, I think.
