Why do some threads show in new topics and some dont?

Periodically I will post a new thread in a particular topic and it never shows up in New topics but even when I post a new thread in that same category sometimes it will show up? Am I missing something or is the stuff we post filtered?

Maybe you can only have one of your new threads in the 'new' section?

Here's a weird thing- sometimes I hit the refresh button and I see a list of threads pop up and then dissipate within a split second, and then a second list of new threads loads in its place.

Oh no theyre out to get me! J/K well that is funny but missing New Topic Posts are not. If I refresh I see some of the same things you mentioned happening too. But mostly mine just dont show up.

Or better yet why do no music threads show up under recent posts in BTS?

Post in a music thread, look in the list of recent threads posted to and it is nowhere to be found.

I have never posted music here but this does seem like a trend here at ATS. We all know how hard it is to get your story seen and involvement of the people if its not in recent threads for people to check out. Your thread you worked on hard gets sidelined and fizzles out fast.
