A mission to smash into a space rock to deflect it and study its structure has been given priority over five other potential asteroid projects by the
European Space Agency.
We tend to think of the world as being so very US-centric... it's nice to see a coordinated effort within other space agencies to address the
possibility of asteroid impact.
I should hope that other nations would consider aiding in the event of an asteroid impact. After all, the US would not be the only country
effected.
I agree though, thanks for the link.
