scientists (forgive the generic term) warn that a major storm (happens every 100-200 years) could be more devestating to California than an earthquake.
oh boy, something else to worry about...

Yes, this has been posted a few weeks ago. Living in southern california, I can say that yeah, we've had some weird weather lately. One day it could be sunny, the news says it'll be sunny all week and then BLAM! It rains for two weeks. But its been a few weeks since that's happened.

Regional records in America are less in 200 years, total, in almost 90% or all cities.

The range in the article goes beyond the empires settling of the region so yeah it could happen.
