I have to give you credit for this post, although because there seems to be so many disorders now a days it sends me into a tizzy trying to figure out the difference from these symptoms and the symptoms that match other symptoms will drive anyone into believing WHAT NEXT ???
and then there are those people who just love attention and want to be labeled .. Oh I hear it all the time in places where you over hear mostly women saying or comparing or even arguing about their diagnosis and even arguing about their meds lol .. not say men don’t complain or talk about it but URGH what irritates me the most is other people who claim someone has a certain disorder judging them by the way they view them is a singular issue. those who don’t have a license to diagnose a disorder should refrain from making insulting remarks. Only because that is the worse thing anyone could do to someone with a true disorder I wouldn’t want to be responsible for sending one overboard resulting in even a suicide. So yeah this is a touchy area and I don’t really go along with all that is said even with the best known Doctors who are in this field imo. One thing is all those commercials on TV ads about certain drugs but by the time you hear all the bad side of these drugs like ..could cause heart attack or some other dang thing . I have sort of come to the conclusion that we are what we put in our bodies like the right diet..

Most people DO NOT meet the criteria for personality disorder!!!!!!!!!

Some that do, admittedly, cause many problems for those close to them, but seems some of you are so busy judging people, without knowing enough about the subject.

Any mental health diagnosis is hard enough for the individual to live with, as these people know they are different to the majority. They may not admit it, or be able to face up to it, but they do know deep down.

Does anyone know the positives of suffering for these type of disorders? There are many.

Most personality disorders are developed within the individual to protect themself, from a very young age. The personality develops in a way that our society doesn't tolerate, accept nor understand, so not only does the sufferer experience abnormal nurturing from baby hood onwards, they are also subjected to non acceptance, lack of understanding and support along with little hope of treatment as adults.

Those of you who consider yourselves normal, are people who have been socialised properly. You fit with the constructs laid down by our elite. Drones, who breed more drones, to fund the elite. No more, no less.

Those with most personality disorders, do their level best to fit in and be drones too. Even to the point of swallowing their meds everyday, when most personality disorders do not respond to meds!!!!!!!!! Of course the elite make lots of money out of meds!

Very interesting study. (Though the video leaves a lot to be desired - I really resented using Anna Nichole Smith as an example of HPD).

BUT! That being said I have a family member who has this disorder and I can tell you it's almost impossible to live with! It's HORRIBLE and honestly I was talking with another family member and though we've tried for years and years to deal with this in a kind and loving way we're to the point of giving up.

It's always and I mean ALWAYS all about them.
The hysteria.
The over-the-top reactions to simple situations.
The meanness. Yes, out and out MEANNESS!
The day in day out drama drama drama - everything HAS TO BE DRAMA!
The need to be the center of attention even around young children!

A child in the family won a writing contest.

The HPD adult sat the little girl on her knee and said, 'You know, I wrote this book and published that book and yadda yadda, got my degree etc and blah blah blah' then went on to saying, 'When I was your age I was already writing books and winning awards nationally. Have you done that yet?'

UGH!

She just sat there stealing all the little girls joy and fun and happiness until the poor thing just wanted to crawl into a hole and not come out.

This disorder is horrific for anyone to have to deal with! If you know someone with this disorder I truly sympathize with you. Hang in there!

If you know a cure PLEASE let me know!

peace

I know someone who had a very arrogant and disrespectful cat until someone fed it shrooms.
