FYI, the blob DOES NOT "CREATE" STARS, it "triggers" some processes required for star formation.
Like a supernova in the midst of a dense hidrogen cloud might do...

It's creating stars that are millions of years old or spewing stars that are millions of years old. Which means this "Blob" as traveled to get here to plant.
