Looks like a good idea. They plan to put microchips on the trees, to protect them. Hope it's not too late.


It could be just another of the thousands of trees felled each year in Brazil's portion of the world's largest forest except for one detail: a microchip attached to its base holding data about its location, size and who cut it down.

Well its about time something nifty was done to help save our biggest producer of Oxygen. However, when there's a will theirs a way. Something tells me this will just slow down those who illegally cut the trees down until they find within their own means to start back up again.

That's a great idea. Someone will probably come up with a device that helps the tree cutters discover the chips..

Or maybe they will cut the trees and leave the chip hanging on a stick.

or maybe the chips will become damaged and break when the tree falls to the ground as it smashes threw all the other trees...
