POLICE and politicians blamed Irish Republican Army dissidents today for sending at least three letter bombs to Catholic police-reform officials and the governor of Northern Ireland's main prison.
Postal workers at the main Royal Mail sorting office north of Belfast detected three incendiary bombs hidden in letters, causing major disruptions to mail deliveries across Northern Ireland.
British army experts safely defused all three bombs, which police described as "crude but viable".

I hope this isn't the start of a resurgence of terrorism in Northern Ireland
