Of all the idiotic things I have ever read online,
this has got to take the prize.

In the past few days,
this has been advanced by
the mainsteam media as the
reason that all the birds have been
dying.

What the hell?!?!?!

So, I guess it has been an optical
illusion all these years...
my seeing birds resting on power lines...

my waking up July 5th and not wading through fields
of dead birds....

Not to mention that birds roost at night and do not fly in flocks.

Anyone who drinks that koolaid deserves to be led into the gas ovens.

In the U.S., New Year's Eve fireworks were blamed in Arkansas for killing thousands of blackbirds, and a few days later power lines likely killed about 450 birds in Louisiana.

Seems like this thing is getting bigger and worse every time I log on.

I'm curious what their next Red Herring will be.

Gotta be something natural. They can't keep blaming something man made.

Swamp Gas?
Extreme Cold?
Cow Farts?

I'm surprised they haven't blamed helium balloons
or the Goodyear Blimp yet.

Apparently fireworks are lethal to sea life as well, all these years of bonfire nights and new years celebrations and everyone failed to notice!

Yes, to be perfectly honest, I think these possible explanations make the whole thing seem more sinister- as if they feel they have to provide an explanation. I'm sure ordinarily the "experts" wouldn't be afraid to state the deaths were unexplained. I think anyone can see that these causes being batted about are extremely unlikely at best. It will be interesting to see how if this cycle continues to repeat over the coming weeks- at this rate we will need a "mass wildlife extinction" forum!

I would think they could come up with something more plausible than these incredulous theories...
I mean anyone with common sense can see through these premises.

I could not be more shocked at this explanation/denial than I would have had I awoken this morning with my head sewn to the carpet.

Boy they must really believe we are stupid.

We better cancel the next Full Moon.
The radiance of the Sun reflecting off the moon surface may panic the birds of the earth and kill them all.

What a load!!!

Every morning and evening HUNDREDS of birds are lined up, gossiping (hehe) on the electrical lines and phone lines at one of our intersections in town.

This explanation is even more absurd than the "blunt force trauma" original explanation!!

Be good little sheep and swallow what they feed you, okay!?!!

I have absolutely no idea where they came up with the "power line" theory...

Ok, now, I found the culprit.
Semi's.

It's so obvious!!

truck driver who said he had struck a flock of birds at that location, though the report indicated that he thought they were geese.
Experts said that starlings are known for grouping together and flying in a tight pattern, likely the reason so many of them could be struck by one vehicle.

As ludicrous as power lines!!!!!
