I Have a Problem with this quote

The prime minster said Canada is proud that democracy leader Suu Kyi and other freedom fighters are working for a free Burma

Burma's pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has invited the icon of Myanmar's pro-democracy movement to Canada to personally accept her honorary citizenship.

Behind Every Western Idealist,Icons Theres Always a Reason

I have always seen the Dalai Lama has an government puppet tool because he is funded by the cia and now Suu Kyi is coming into the play getting respective from the canadian government and american.

For one reason (Been western democratic lined with American values) another thing do i need bring eastern eupore so called pro democratic heroes for standing agaisnt the russians? yet look at eupore now under control by america, Europe never got its freedom, amercia with NATO, EU is the one controlling the whole region.

all elected prime minsters in Europe have to be Pro Western, in short terms Europe isn't really free.

a free Burma

a free Burma means
*American Bases in Burma
*Pro Western politicians
*Pro Asian Union Creation
*More Unemployment's

A Little History On Burma

Triangle. The Wa army, an ally of Burma's ruling military junta, was once the militant arm of the Beijing-backed Burmese Communist Party. Burma has been a significant cog in the transnational drug trade since World War II.[137][138] The land area devoted to opium production increased 29% in 2007. A United Nations report cites corruption, poverty and a lack of government control as causes for the jump.[139] In 2010 as part of the Wikileaks leaked cable

Burma is very closely with the borders of China, allies of Burma is or were China, North Korea.

So before next you see an western pro democratic hero, ask yourself this, for what reason is she or he a hero? or for what strategies will he or she bring to the USA.

sure,

but she made herself, as daughter of the national hero she took leadership and responsibility to face the junta and western countries were not making much concern about her nor helping her all the years that she was in jail and that the junta was doing extensive business with all those western countries.

Now take the Burmese perspective & consider the local situation.

because it is that terrible, an extreme caricature of a military dictatorship.

Something you cannot imagine if you haven't been there.

To try summarize in a few words, permanent, gross, nationalistic brainwashing methods (load speakers in streets to praise the junta for example), army checkpoint every 10km (and no local will go through without id);
in all non-touristic areas, no school, no roads, no hospital, no money, no electricity, water at the well.

The western countries are surfing the wave to get this country (with too many natural resources) back in business.

The Burmese resistance is no puppet yet, they have their history which was not initiated by ptb.

They could become obviously but until they really have they need full support.

So, please, before you send the resistant from Burma negative energies, understand that for them, from there any support is good to finally get out of the nightmare (40 or 50 years ?...)

But understand this

I am sure the Burmese resistance is a puppet, or rather are working closely with the ptb.

They could become obviously but until they really have they need full support.

Dalai Lama was already moved elsewhere, and funded by the CIA after he got his freedom under the mist of a Po-Democracy hero, same thing is already with Suu Kyi.

Oh don't you worry Suu Kyi and her freedom fighters are getting the full support already from the canadian, american government.

because it is that terrible, an extreme caricature of a military dictatorship.

Isn't america becoming a dictatorship?

there is no one resistance, there are something like 15 different groups spread all over + the monks (for who corporate globalization is of no interest whatsoever). Because of the division of the country in tiny district they cannot gather, organize, coordinate. When the monks tried 3 years ago they got their head smashed against the wall of the monasteries (that is not image, it is what happened).

of course europe/us are a corporate dictatorship; that's not the question.

the fact is we have a huge humanitarian issue in Burma and people suffering unbelievable oppression that you cannot picture if you haven't lived with them.

if they don't need hypocrite support from corrupted western governments that cares only about control, they do need your support as human being

the Burmese resitants are not your ennemy, they are slaves fighting for freedom who do not have a clue about what we are talking about because they have enough problem to deal with.

so don't judge them, instead go there and educate them about the global situation; if you still have the heart after seeing how they live.

I think the most vital is to have an American Bases in Burma, so maybe this can make Burma more democratic and civilized...hehehe.
