Neanderthals cooked and ate vegetables

Yes, Neanderthals were still omnivores. They used the skins of animals to make clothing for themselves. But they definitely ate fruit and vegetables. I doubt they were strict vegetarians.

Who knows, maybe they had a vegan fashion craze, and that's why they're extinct?
Nothing against vegans today, but with Neanderthal's muscle mass that is starvation.
Not all a joke, something like that might have happened. They were very adapted to big game prey, and when that disappeared they held out for a while along the Spanish coast, scrounging for seafood.
