What makes me laugh about Fox News, is that pundits like Bill O'Reilly specifically go on shows like Jon Stewart and say things like "I'm not running a news show, I'm running an opinion show" then claim ratings of "The most watched News in America".

They can't have it both ways.

Fox News actually went to court a while back to argue that they're "Not a real news channel, as they have 'so many opinion shows' " and therefore shouldn't be held to the same journalistic standards, like the truth, and actually won. Basically they went to court to be allowed to say anything they please on the air.

And people wonder why the rest of us make fun of those who watch Fox News?

Fox News is a propaganda charade masked as news for the political ambitions and corporatist policies of it's billionaire owners. It doesn't report news, it slants it.

But yet the news it reports is still way more accurate than the Communist News Network and the Mangina Socialist Neutered Broadcasting Company. That is really telling you how far out of whack the leftist main stream news is.

And on what are you basing your yardstick of "accuracy"? The fact that you agree with what they're telling you?

Most news networks have become poltiicized and lean one way or the other politcally, there are very few news networks out there that simply report the news anymore, which is why I've cut back significantly on the amount of news I watch.

CNN continually bashes FOX, FOX continually bashes just about everyone that doesn't agree with their far right wing view of everything, MSNBC bashes everyone it can, network news bash CNN, FOX, and MSNBC and each other.

Why can't they just got back to what news networks are supposed to do, REPORTING the news, rather than MAKING the news?

Personally, I like to make my own opinion based on the facts presented, not have some network news hack tell me what my opinion should be.

True, true. People are sheople in America. Once every four or five years when I stumble upon a thinking man, I am in a state of disbelief. I walk around the rest of the day in a state of shock like I just chatted with a ghost.

Fox swings right and most of the rest swing left.
Both sides swing to the extremes in the media.
The fact that fox and fox watchers disagree with all of the other blind extremists proves nothing.

If you really have to cite a television show in order to feel smart then you might not be the genius that you think you are.

FOX doesn't really bash anyone, they just gloat. As for reporting the news.. when has the MSM ever really done that? Sure FOX has their own biases, but atleast they reveal them every step of the way and don't let it interfere with reporting. And aside from Beck's machinations most FOX pundits just report and talk about the news. They even have a liberal on hand to give another opinion from time to time. That said I can only stomach them for a short time period.

P.S though, the dumbest people I ever met happened to be Democrats. I remember when I went into a gas station a few months ago and their was an old lady and a young lady working. The old lady was "stupid" with a capital S. I guess she was talking politics with her coworker who was trying to ignore her(her much younger coworker was a republican) because not only did she have the facts wrong but she was so biased I would dare call it bigotry. You run into that time and time again. When I took a few courses at the local community college you wouldn't know how many liberal demo-dumbos I ran into. Most of them can be comically like the "liberal elite" charachter in that movie that was posted a few days ago.

But above all else FOX tends to lie the least, compared to CNN which acts like climate-gate never happened. When I watch CNN or MSNBC I feel like their trying to push an agenda like a shasty used car sales person. When I watch FOX it is more like "this is how we see things" and I can filter it out. I don't really feel like I am being lied too. Plus liberals just tick me off, because all they do is lie, lie and lie some more. If the facts don't conform to their world view then it clearly must be the facts that are wrong and not their world view.

I can't tolerate that. I may have my own opinions and personal biases but I strive to be a 2+2=4 kind of person.
