Heavy snow causes stadium roof collapse

Heavy snowfall has caused the inflatable roof of an American football stadium to collapse.

After more than 40cm of snow fell in Minneapolis yesterday, the Teflon-coated fibreglass roof of the Minnesota Vikings' Metrodome deflated and a section ripped, sending a torrent of snow onto the indoor NFL field.

Lucky the stadium wasn't hosting a game but it shows what these storms are like across the mid east..

Yeah it was pretty bad in Minnesota. The snow was coming down hard and fast. The wind was blowing like crazy too. The workers on the dome got pulled from the rooftop with the wind blowing like mad and the windchill really really low they had to evacuate the roof!

Is it another jerry-built project? You know the roof of the capital airport was blown down these days...

Well it was inflatable but I'd think it was semi permanent, probably just up during winter...

They never take it off. Its up year round. But they have maintenance crews working on it full time. If you watch closely in the video there is a weird looking thing moving faster than any human could. The news stated that there was noone in the Dome at the time of its collapse! So what is it?

So what is it? Its located at ground level at the top of the field moving from left to right then vanishing!
