Google is your friend, there are 1000 and 1 guides on how to DDoS a site as well as a variety of freesource tools developed by some people.

It is against T&C to promote anything like what Anon is doing. I think what they are doing is WRONG and they should be jailed. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Um... Guy... Those are jokes. Of course if your parents have no children you won't exist -- that's why it's very likely that you won't have any kids. "Anon" is an abbreviation for "Anonymous" of course, a "name" appended to works for whom the author is not known. That's why they had the generic greek image -- There is no actual Anon.

But, yeah, they did basically take inspiration from "him".

That, my friend, is a creative piece of satire created by Anonymous.

There are many fables where Anonymous comes from, but what I speak is the truth of the foundations.

Anonymous is the original net neutrality movement. It's existed since the internet has been used, it just didn't have a name. It's a philosophy of what the internet is and how it should be used. It's a web of information, with people using it a source and consumer of said information. Information, being the most key essential to survival, deserves to be free. Authority does not exist on the internet. The only "authority" Anonymous operates on is the authority of the individuals beliefs and ethics. Outside of small groups and such, when on the internet you're nothing but a conduit and a perspective of which deserves no more respect or acknowledgment than any other. We might be collective in term and overall perception, but we all operate individually.

It's pretty much the belief that Anarchy is the only way the internet can be used and should be used. The internet is the most sacred thing mankind has ever created. At no point in human history has an individual been able to look at a global accumulation of knowledge and been able to discern what to make of it on their own merit. We seek to uphold, defend and to utilize it in this way.

And frankly, from the eyes of many Anon, we'd rather see the internet crash and burn than be enslaved for purposes of greed and control. If that means our actions cause it to crash and burn, than so be it.

appreciate there sol, i am experienced in sarcasm, i guess i wanted to believe, and i had never heard of Anon before, the way they had the page set up first made me think they were trying to show it like some ancient philosopher... but i understand now and feel completely stupid, because of course it is the great philosopher Anon, teacher of ubiquitous sarcasm... sometimes i try to hard, and now i feel el stupido... oh well, it'll wear off eventually


and thank you SpectreDC, you have definitely lead me to a better understanding.. i think i have worked on the side of ANON without realization until now that what i was doing had an association... could that be possible?

1. Why are anon / 4chan trying to ruin innocent human beings lives in their juvenile attempts at annoying big companies?

2. Why are anon / 4chan so obsessed with "fapping" over child porn, pedo bear and spelling words in such an idiotic way?

3. Do you think the prepubescent adolescents will ever mature and realise what they are doing is an attack on the people, as well as the corporations?

I think you're actually lying in saying what they are trying to do and omitting the fact that they are doing what they are doing due to the attack on wikileaks.

So because every once and a while, someone posts child porn on a site that receives over 10 million unique hits a day, a site that anyone can post anything on, everyone on the site is automatically to blame? Even when in my experience, 90% of the people I know who have visited the site (not all of whom one would call Anonymous by the way) detest child pornography?

You know, I have a question for you; why do you misconstrue facts and replace it with your own delusional world views?

Well I don't think so, but then again I'm not delusional and don't believe that's what happening.

Anonymous appears to be coming of age if this boing boing article is to be believed.
