I saw this on the news and was shocked! What is wrong with people?!! People like this don't deserve to have kids. There are many people out there who want kids and can't have them, myself included and when I see kids being used like this it really upsets me. I love kids and I would NEVER use a child like this. This is child abuse! I know I may sound harsh but those kids need to be taken away. Those parents are obviously teaching their kids it is ok to steal and who knows what else these parents are teaching their kids it's ok to do.

What shocked me even more was when I googled the story and found countless other stories like this and videos on youtube where parents use their children to steal. Some people shouldn't be allowed to procreate.

Surveillance video obtained by KETV NewsWatch 7 from Von Maur, shows the women leading the children -- who appear to be 4 or 5 years old -- to the purse section.
In the first incident caught on tape, the children grab four Dooney and Burke handbags, worth about $800, and run outside to a waiting red Monte Carlo.
In the second incident, two boys -- about the same age -- are taken to the same section. The video showed the boys grab six purses, worth $1,200, and run outside.

Wow, just wow. Those kids are innocent and the parents are just laughing! (go to link for the video) I can't find a youtube version to embed.

Kids wont get charged or they'll do very little time.

Some kids are used to steal crap from stores, others are used to sell crack on corners and still others are used to kill rivals.

Why should I risk 25-life when my little cousin here can get the job done only risking 5 tops?

You can't be serious about your last statement? Or are you just saying it in general for how these scum bags think?

Kids won't get any charges, the parents however will and should!

It's sad when kids are used like this at that age because they grow up thinking this kind of behavior is ok and then they grow into a life of crime and have no real hope of a decent future or life. I'm not saying all kids but the majority who have low life parents like this will.

When I was a child my mother hung about with another young mum where they lived in Richmond, UK, they used to go shopping a LOT as both were married to rich men.

Anyway... Zuzana used to 'window shop' for shoes an awful lot and one day my mother found out why.

She would sit down next to women and when they stood up to get another shoe or try out the shoes etc etc she would hand their handbag to her son Mishko and say something like "You're being naughty, go stand outside with my bag while I put my shoes on and I'll be out"

She would then put her shoes on and tell my mother she was going to tell Mishko off.... then come back with him.

What my mother found out was she would go to him, take what she wanted out the bag and dump it by the shop front.... Then go shopping with another persons money!

My Mother threatend to call the police and we never saw Zuzana again.

That's very surprising. How can they expect their kids to respect them!

Of course I'm serious. It happens every day.

Your typical dope-slingin' gang about town is much more sophisticated then most give them credit for. They actively recruit the younger kids in the neighborhood because they're easy to control and they can be used for the hard crimes and you'll just get them back into the gang in a couple of years rather than lose an "OG" to life in prison.

They may be reckless and often intoxicated but they arent stupid.

They aren't stupid?? Recruiting innocent children to do crime IS the epitome of stupid imo.

OMG wow!! That is horrible.

No wonder you never saw her again, she knew she was in the wrong. I would have called the police anyway.

Yea it is messed up putting children up to theft. It starts with this and then accumalates to who knows what in the coming years. Cars or someones savings. These are the ones who got caught. Imagine the ones still out there. I doubt this is an isolated incident.

It is also pretty messed up how a hand bag could cost that much in the first place. An 800 dollar and up handbag should be illegal in itself. I don't care who made it. Is any handbag worth that much? If it wasn't priced like that no one would want to steal it. Crazy crazy world.

I can agree.

I also agree. It is stupid but to them thats the smart way.

I have seen so many different ways a parent can put their child in this kind of situation. For example, some parents, have went as far as applying their child for S.S.I, and when it comes time for the doctor's appt's to verify that the child might have a learning or mental disability, or a emotional behavioral problem, the children are schooled into acting up during the visit. They will lash out, or not respond to the doctor's questions, or will just complain and insult the doctor until he gives up and signs off on the papers. I've seen that myself on numerous occasions. Then they walk out the place with a completely different attitude than what they were presenting just a few min before with the doctor.

Btw, found the video for you

This lady was married to an exectutive of India Airlines back in 197? She wasn't a dope head... In fact I have no idea WHY she felt the need... greed? Because she could?

I agree I would also have called the police but I was only 7 at the time and knew nothing of this until I was an adult. My Mother is a coward.

We can come up with a million excuses when poor people shoplift but when one has pretty much everything they want and need, it really makes no sense...

What gives a wealthy person the urge to steal? Especially with their child?

Your mom wasnt a coward! She though that woman was her friend and instead of not saying anything at all, at least she threatened to report her, at least she said something. She couldve been quite offended that was happening in her and her child's (you) presence.

Just a thought.
