Anonymous are attacking INTERPOL / Mastercard / post finance / pay pal / advbyra.se (CURRENT)

EDIT: They seem to be hopping between numerous targets - although mastercard and paypal are now seemingly the main 2 targets

It looks like the group that successfully took down the website of Julian Assange's Swiss Bank have claimed another victim.
Mastercard.com is down, and Anon_operation just tweeted that it's due to a DDOS attack. Of course, Mastercard is one of the payment services that cut off the ability to donate to Wikileaks:

Interpol is loading as quick as ever. If they are being DDoS'ed it is not an effective attack. And if some of anon are actually trying to DDoS it without a huge botnet... well... they'll be needing lawyers.

Although 15 minutes ago I couldn't get it to load.

It's working for me as well. Do you have any other sources for your information? Have you tried visiting the site since? It could just be a local problem.

The page didn't load up for me. Everything else is working fine for me.

Looks like it's up in some countries - it's down for me at least in the UK.

Reports of it being slow and unstable in some countries, down in others - I have no idea what servers it uses, but things are getting interesting.

INTERPOL cannot demand that any member country arrests the subject of a Red Notice. Any individual wanted for arrest should be considered innocent until proven guilty

So the first thing that stands out is that he is wanted for "questioning" only...
Second is that the UK were not required to arrest him...

Just how small a crime was this???????

No Anonymous is not attacking Interpol as far as I know. I dont know how you came up with that...I have heard absolutely nothing about this. It could be some other group or a different part of Anonymous who are attacking Interpol, if true.

The targets are specific at the moment for the main Anonymous

* PostFinance.ch
* Paypal

In future there may be some attacks on (note: these targets are in pipeline)
* Swedish prosecutor websites
* French Govt. websites
* The Jester ( who claimed to DDOS Wikileaks) - Efforts are being made to trace him but the talks floating around is US official cyber teams were behind the DDOS attacks on Wikileaks..
* Time's website
* & probably twitter

OP is correct, Operation Payback is behind it.

Not loading from the Pacific Northwest (WA).

While I support Wiki leaks efforts, I really don't see what attacking a LEO website will accomplish as they are not exactly doing commerce on there thus they lose no revenues, perhaps just a little lost pride for the IT staff.

I confirm Mastercard appear to be down ... unable to access their website and pinging fails with 100% packet loss.

Whether this is good or bad, right now it warms my heart.
