As you can see AboveTopSecret has 209,000 members that have registered. This obviously does not mean that is how many members regularly post though. Here are some fun comparisons though.

ATS has a larger population than the following countries:

Samoa
Saint Lucia
Sao Tome and Principe
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Federated States of Micronesia
Grenada
Tonga
Kiribati
Antigua and Barbuda
Seychelles
Andorra
Dominica
Marshall Islands
Saint Kitts and Nevis
Liechtenstein
Monaco
San Marino
Palau
Nauru
Tuvalu
Vatican City

Only 96 US cities have a larger population than AboveTopSecret and ATS also has the same population as Irvine, California.

Just thought I would show you some fun comparisons of exactly how large the AboveTopSecret network actually is.

Wow thats quite cool!

Your going to have to lower that figure a bit though to account for the people with multiple accounts that they use to agree with themselves and give themselves flags.

Note
I have no proof whatsoever that this happens it's just a suspicion

Well that would be quite interesting. I am quite surprised that ATS is actually larger than over a dozen nations and if it were a US city it would be #97.

Interesting way at looking at it. It's an interesting nation in internet land, that's for sure.

The great thing about this country however is there are few restrictive laws and people from all over the world are citizens. We transcend national political borders.

Explanation: S&F!

Using that data and a bit more sourced from wiki etc...

16 posts per thread on avrg.

47 posts per member on avrg.

3 threads per member on avrg.

No#11 in city size [smaller than canberra at no#7 in Australia]

No#179 in size in the world [compared with other nations etc.]

Personal Disclosure: We could annex the Pitcarn Islands [pop 50] Easy!

P.S. OL is joking! But seriously, the people of Pitcarn had better be nice!

But why would we want to? I would not choose to live there. At least not until I am exiled from the US.

You did find some big freaking countries...

Seriously... What impresses me even more are the multicultural differences that do not seem to be an issue at all.
( For the most part )

Thank you.

Really a thought provoking thread.

Well, before you post the member numbers maybe you should check the members list.

The list shows only 180,000 or so.

You could also see that about 48,000 signed up and never signed back in or even posted one time.

You would also see that about 90,000 have not even logged on this site at all this year.

Why the difference,I have no idea, but the data is there in the members list.

The information is there until at least the PTB that run this sites makes it unavailable.

Sounds like they only need about 10 standard FEMA camps to house all of us ATS members.

Hey that is very funny! Thank you for lightening the gloom.

I think of it more like that quote from Margaret Mead: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
