Found this pretty interesting Source

Basically because they cannot control WikiLeaks they would like to label as a "terrorist" organization so they have the legal right to freeze funds and other stuff.

The incoming chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee is demanding that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declare WikiLeaks a terrorist entity.

"By doing that, we will be able to seize their funds and go after anyone who provides them help or contributions or assistance whatsoever. To me, they are a clear and present danger to America."

I just find this kinda funny, I mean, if a group of people don't listen to the government they must be terrorists right? But hey, a terrorist to one is a freedom fighter to another.

I find this amusing too......they don't like Wikileaks, can't really do much to stop them......ah hell, just slap them with the "terrorist" badge!

Anything the government cannot control and dont have a direct route of communication to is labeled a terrorist organization, it's ironic given the USA's more recent crimes of abuse, torture and direct violations of human rights.

Yeah,
I wonder if this year's Macquarie Dictionary will have Wikileaks as a possible meaning for the word terrorist?

As well as the rest of the others that have had this label bestowed upon them.

Sounds reasonable..
If you question the Gov=terrorist.
Stick up for the constitution=terrorist.
Tea Party=terrorist.
Gun rights=terrorist.
Ron Paul supporter=terrorist.
Evade TSA scum=terrorist.

But it's not all bad news..By current estimates the terrorists now account for 65% of the population..

2012 I'm starting the "TERRORISTS" party...
Bound to win..

The US government is out of control so maybe they should be declared by the rest of the world as a "terrorist organization". So we should seize their funds and go after anyone who provides them help or contributions or assistance whatsoever. To me, they are a clear and present danger to the rest of the world.

Attaching this label to a whistleblower would be a very very big mistake to permit.

It is more to a gossip organization.

What will be the next leak? My guess is:

Obama criticizes Japanese president because his clothing is not an armani. Japanese President cries two hours locked in the bathroom because of the Obama coments.

How this leaks change the world mr assange?

You missed a couple. I was talking to a customer, retired secret service, he told me that according to his buddies still in the Secret Service, ALL active and retired military, FBI, CIA, Secret Service et al are now on the "Homeland Security Watch List"

Pretty soon they are just going to have to switch to a "We do not have to watch list" Perhaps they can use Rasmussen’s Political Class as the list of the only people they do not have to "watch"

Rasmussen has defined a really fantastic concept for its poll interpretations: the Political Class. The very name evokes images of power elites and pundits, fervently applauding their own efforts while peppering their language with meaningless phrases like “the American people” and “Main Street” (vs. “Wall Street”). Oh, you didn’t get all that from it? Well, I did… Maybe I’m too bitter. Anyway, the Political Class is that small group of elites and its ardent supporters, the ones who try to brand themselves as populists but are in fact concerned primarily with the goodness of their own power and authority.

Rasmussen defines the category based on a three-question poll:

1. Generally speaking, when it comes to important national issues, whose judgment do you trust more – the American people or America’s political leaders?
2. Some people believe that the federal government has become a special interest group that looks out primarily for its own interests. Has the federal government become a special interest group?
3. Do government and big business often work together in ways that hurt consumers and investors?

The idea is that each one has three acceptable answers (the populist answer, the elitist answer, and “I don’t know”), and your category is assigned based on your responses....

It is pretty sad when a country's government considers the ordinary citizen an "enemy" as shown by the new grope 'N fly policies. What ever happen to "The notion that governments derive their only just authority from the consent of the governed is a foundational principle of the American experiment." - 23% Say U.S. Government Has the Consent of the Governed

Just 28% of U.S. voters now think the country is heading in the right direction,... This finding is up slightly from last week...

Sixty-five percent (65%) of the Political Class believe the United States is generally heading in the right direction, down significantly from last week,...

SOURCE: Rassmussen: Right Direction or Wrong Track?

On second thought after skimming through some Rassmussen reports, no wonder the "political Class" considers "mainstream Americans" their enemy!
