That makes no sense. The methods being discussed in this thread, for the most part, wouldn't be of any use in discretely disposing of bodies. The methods discussed all tend to leave evidence that it has happened. Also if the situation is bad enough for regular people to worry about body disposal the government may not be capaeble of helping out with the situation in a timely manner. Even if the government isn't disposed of, as it is now, it can barely deal with major catastrophies, let alone a major shtf like the op is referring to.

I would build a large crude bio gas setup and capture the methane and use it for cooking and a power source.

This thread is begging for the attention of serial killers. If a situation like this happens,the proper authorities will know what to do. I know many methods on what to do,but i would hate to help a would be killer learn a technique that would help him get away.
