Assange would certainly be an intriguing choice.
How do you think the governments of the world would take to that announcement?
So far, at least the second half of 2010, Assange has been one of the most newsworthy persons. MAny people before June or July had no idea who this cat even was, let alone what wikiLeaks is. I wouldnt be surprised at all to see him named Person of the Year.
Although looking at the past winners, I now see that the 'Whistleblowers' won in 2002, did Assange miss his chance by 8 years?edit on 28-11-2010 by youdidntseeme because: whistleblowers

What about a "As-of-yet Unprosecuted Criminal of the Year"?
1) Ben Bernanke
2) Barack Obama
3) George W. Bush (Warcrimes violations give him candidacy status until 2018)
4) Al Gore
5) Hillary Clinton
6).....etc?
