With each passing day, America is inching further down a slippery slope toward a police state. Soon, we�ll have picked up so much momentum that there will be no turning back.

Incredibly, not too many people appear concerned. Bombarded by media images and a mind-numbing entertainment culture, people seem to be so distracted that they do not even realize that our civil liberties are slowly and stealthily eroding away. (snip)

THE NINE HAVE RIDDEN

The Nine (as in the fallen kings from The Lord of the Rings Trillogy), have ridden. These Ringwraithes, in the form of Bush Light, Blair, Cheney, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, Powell, Wolfowitz, and Tom Ridge are riding from modern Mordor, Washington DC. They have come to kill, plunder, and destroy, with the aid of Black Robbed Trolls in the Supreme Court. Whoever the puppet master Sauron is remains a mystery, but the Nine have indeed ridden.

This time there is no Aaragorn, no Frodo, no Elves, Dwarves, or other heroes to save the day.

Saurman in the form of the Democrats aid the evils to be done to America and the world. Though the evil ones may switch places and names after an election, the destruction they have wrought upon America remains the same.

The armies of deception, of lies, of destruction, of tearing down the very pillows of our once great nation are springing fourth from the gates. Since the Bush Light regime has come to power, they have managed to crush our liberties in ways democrats have always dreamed about but never been able to do. Should Bill Klinton have ever tried to push legislation such as the Terrorist Bill, conservative Americans would have risen up in anger, now they just sleep. Black Robbed Tyrants have put the icing on the cake of tyranny baked by the neocons in the anti-terrorist legislation.

Activist judges in the Supreme Court have recently decided a case that should send shivers up the spine of any freedom loving American. Hiibel v. Sixth Judicial District Court of Navada crushes our right to free speech and our right to remain silent, the First and Fourth Amendments to our Constitution. The case revolves around whether or not a free American is required to identify them self to law enforcement officers for no apparent reason. It is now a crime not to identify your self on demand. Is this not the way of Red China, the old Russia, Nazi Germany, and the other totalitarian police states we have seen?

Long ago in the late 50�s or early 60�s the Imperial Federal Government passed a law concerning book match packs. It seems an idiot managed to torch himself by striking a match with the cover open and ignited the rest of the pack, which then caught him on fire. The law forced match companies to move the striking surface to the other side of the pack and print a warning; �Close cover before striking�. This writer knew then if the Feds could pass a law protecting the terminally dumb, they could pass a law to cover anything. Since that day, countless Un-Constitutional laws and regulations have been passed which have taken more and more of our freedom and liberty away. The many �wars� the Feds have declared on poverty, ignorance, drugs, disease, not to mention the many Constitutionally illegal military wars in far away places with names we can�t pronounce have solved nothing but the gradual taking away of our freedom.

Since that seemingly innocent piece of legislation about match pack safety, Americans have been constantly been bombarded by activist judges ruling broadly on cases which legally, they have no right to do, and a congress which seems to delight in slowly taking away our freedoms with bad, illegal legislation. After all our congress critters are rewarded by big business, oil, pharmaceutical companies, and the military industrial war complex. There is virtually nothing the Federal, State, or Local governments cannot find out about you at this point in time, thanks to these laws and the surveillance technology available today. Our Constitution and Bill of Rights have been bastardized to a point they for all practical purposes no longer exist. Our freedom and liberty are virtually gone!

We have seen over the years, jack booted thugs dressed in their Black Ninja Uniforms and automatic weapons decimate Americans in illegal raids from Ruby Ridge to Waco. Should these �ninja suited terrorist� kick in the door of the wrong home, which they seem to do frequently, and kill an innocent person, all they can say is Whoops and the victims have no recourse. Our young men are sent off to wars that legally, we can�t even enter and when the soldiers are maimed in these actions, they get little if any help from the tyrants who sent them off to far away places to do the �massas� bidding. Between the excessive taxes, big business, big oil, and the drug companies, our paychecks are raped weekly with no end in sight. Our every move is photographed with hidden cameras, phones monitored, Internet traffic watched, and records of our every action are in archives waiting to be used against us. It is doubtful there are very many Americans who haven�t broken one of the countless felony laws enacted against us.

Terrorism is the topic of the day and whether real or created by an all-powerful and all knowing tyrannical federal government, the end result is the same. One more illegal war in progress, more innocents sacrificed on the alter of globalism, with peace and safety replacing freedom and liberty as the mantra to be chanted.

The Neocons, (who are more like democrats on steroids with an attitude than true conservative republicans) are taking us down the path to the darkest time of our history with their draconian laws reminiscent of Hitler�s Germany in the late 30�s. We no longer have much of a voice in our government and those who protest loudest against the injustice and tyranny, are jailed quickest for some pretended offense with no recourse.

The fact that we now have to identify ourselves, a mark of totalitarian governments, not a Republican form of government, is but a preview of things to come. How much longer before we will see a mandatory implanted chip so the thugs can track our every physical move from birth to death? There will be no where to run, no where to hide, only distant memories of freedom and liberty which like a vapor you exhale on a cold morn, was there, then it was not.

It does look like we are almost there.

With all these 'signs' of our liberties eroding, why is everyone just kind of 'waiting' for the sh*t to hit the fan?

If anyone thinks they are going to make a point in the coming 'election' by trying to elect 'anyone but Bush', it isn't going to help. The wheel is turning and it's been turning for years now. There's some bigger 'machine' out there and it's global... it's not just here in the US that it's happening. Other democratic countries are experiencing similar things - the 'appearance' of freedom is everywhere - but whoever is *really* running the show seems to be pushing the world in a certain direction and everyone seems powerless to stop it! Most people don't even recognize it.

Will there be a global 'revolt' or will the world just continue to be led around by the nose?

One thing is for sure: we can do with less 'stuff'! Consumerism is totally out of hand. There's so much *stuff* to choose from now that we live our lives like kids in a candy store - day in and day out. The push to buy buy buy buy buy everything in sight is putting people into debt and I sure feel sorry for the lessons the kids are being taught by watching the adults fall into the trap. The entire country is in debt for that matter!

As long as we are 'eating, drinking, and making merry' (and buying!), the 'sleeping masses' aren't going to take notice of all the scary things taking place underneath our very noses .... and we're all gonna wake up to a very different world and wonder how it all happened (Actually, that's happening now...)

Of course, with ATS to spur the 'awakened ones' forward - hopefully a momentum will build to try to counteract the continuing effects of the mean-global-machine!
