I tought this was a beautiful show of the human spirit (and voice) and brought a tear to my eyes, the sheer beauty of human beings and their love for one another is very powerful.
I'm not a religious person, but I don't think we need to be to understand the power of the spirit...
Hope this lifts your spirits as it did mine.
Enjoy...www.youtube.com...

I loved that, particularly the incredulous faces of the customers when the first girl stood up

One person starts singing in a shopping mall shes a nut job... 20 people do it and suddenly it's ok.

I somehow get the feeling thought that this might be some kind of viral for Nokia or another mobile phone company, why is she singing into a phone?

Sorry i'm missing something i guess. All I see is a set up of some kind of marketing video. You can tell by the posture and the camera angles.

If this was a setup for a marketing video it was very amateur.

To the OP thank you for posting this!
I think that the holidays need to return to their traditional roots it has all just gotten to commercialized.

What a cheesy way to advertise for a photography studio. The music was nice but the intent was bogus and crass.

To everyone who said this a set up; of course its a set up, its a flash mob.
It was organized by Alphabet Photography, a pretty well known company.
.
According to their website they have been featured on air with Ryan Seacrest, The Tyra Banks Show, CityLine, The Steven and Chris show, ABC News, Fox News, Breakfast Television, etc.

I don know all of those outlets, but I guess they are big enough to mention on their website.

For those who do not know what a flash mob is, it is a collection of people who assemble in such a way to seem spontaneous, and then put together a performance for the rest of the unsuspecting spectators.

This was nothing more than if a high school or church chorus had booked a performance time in the lobby to great the shoppers with song, only they probably didnt have to pay for a permit in this case.

To someone who doesnt know its going to happen it can be a pretty cool experience. It is reminiscent of a scene in a movie where before you know it many people are singing and dancing in time with each other.

Was the intent here really just to advertise?
Perhaps the intent was to do something nice for people during the holiday season.
I see alot of videos online, dont immediately believe they are all for advertising, but if they do get some attention for doing something nice like this during the holidays, more power to them.

I feel the days of the storlling carollers are past us, and I would have loved to be in the food court when this happened.
