Is the Martian moon Phobos really an ancient spacecraft?

A while ago a heard an interview with Richard c hogland, in which he claims the Martian moon Phobos was actually an ancient extraterrestrial spacecraft.. He did point to various bits of evidence as to why he came up with this theory although nothing concrete.. He pointed to a failed Russian space mission, a monolith on the surface and the fact that it is hollow, among other things.
I then heard a follow up interview from the European space agency in which they deny all claims of this.
Both interviews were from a uk podcast called the unexplained with Howard hughes..
I don't buy into this theory myself but I was just wondering what you guys on ats thought about it and there was any more information on the subject, the interview I heard was many months ago mow..

I heard rumours its an interstellar new branch of McDonalds!!

Seriously tho, it is a weird rock with these compartment / caverns inside...I doubt its a space craft tho.
