Leave your Thanksgiving cooking until the last minute? Cook your turkey with thermite. 10 pounds of thermite will cook your turkey in about 5 minutes.

Cooking With Thermite

Man I cracked up when I read this headline! Thanks for the laugh!
Here's a vid :

It appears it may be best to try this outside, no?
So how did they acquire thermite? Not that I want any, I just wouldn't think that is something you just pick up.
I can just hear the conversation,"we need some thermite for our bird." "Sure," says the vendor as he is hitting the Homeland Security button.

Peace,
spec

Nah! Do it inside on an I-beam, preferably in a large building.

how did they acquire thermite?

Method 1:

Step 1: Drop some iron in salt water, and run a current through it.
Step 2: Scrape the rust off.
Step 3: File down an aluminum pipe into powder using a fine-tooth metal file.
Step 4: Mix these two powders.

Congratualations, you now have thermite.

Method 2:

Buy it for a couple dollars per pound.

Congratulations, you now have thermite.

I just wouldn't think that is something you just pick up.

Why? How difficult is it to purchase gasoline? That can be dangerous too.
