Came across this old documentary whilst furtling around the net. A couple of abductions are mentioned, one i know must be this case..

Moody aduction

and another probably this one..

Higdon abduction

There's a link here to as many alleged photos of UFOs from Italy, a couple of hptos of which are referenced in the documentary.

Italian photo database

It's quite a lengthy presentation however i thought it might be of interest to people on here and i couldn't find it in a search of the forum.

Appreciate the post.

Brother, is that one over the top though! They lost me with all the presuppositions about "inter dimensional" travel and when they brought up Uri Geller that sealed it.

It comes across like a B-grade 1950's scifi flick.

I'm watching this. It's cracking me but I'll try to sit through it to the end.

It is very much of its' day that's for sure. Stanton Friedman flirting outrageously with that lass is a total crack up, his eyes

That said, there is an underlying current in the film that suggests the people who made it had been *primed* or tipped off over a few things. The inter-dimensional explanation was relatively new one back then and actually a pretty brave step to include it. However, that is the conclusion many in the filed were arriving at even if the evidence, scientifically, didn't seem to be there to back it up. In that sense things have changed a considerable amount.

The picture apparently taken during the Korean war in 1953 is a new one on me. Just shows you , you think you know a pretty good amount this subject and something pops up that leaves you wondering. "How did I miss that one?". I'd love to know the history of that photo and what happened to it and did anyone ever debunk it.

Any avid science fiction reader will know that is not true. And since many of this rubbish is from people that can't find the line between science and science fiction, it should not come as any surprise that the fringe UFO element was awash in sci-fi stories as they still are today. So, to say that the average Joe was not aware of sci-fi elements such as "inter-dimensional" stuff might be true, but we are not dealing with the average Joe here, but folks who live and breath this stuff. It stands to reason they have ingested a fair amount of available sci-fi material and incorporated it into their fantasies/pseudo-religions.

The basis of us all being viewed as nutjobs has it's roots in hogwash like this. If we could all just go back in time and smack these types we wouldn't be living with the stereotype that we seem to be embracing more and more around here everyday.

It was't the fringe UFO community at all. It was many of the those who had dedicated a long period of their lives to studying the subject who came to that conclusion not based on any Science Fiction stories at all. As a teenager, i was there in the late 70s, when the UFO community was riven with the dispute over the inter-dimensional explanation. Much of the theory stemmed from the seemingly insurmountably vast distances between the stars and the lack of any other planets being discovered. George Creighton and a good number of the UFO community in Britain had come to the conclusion, *The Universe next door*, was probably the most likely explanation. In fact many quit the field either because they thought it was *too out there*, or that, in effect, the mystery was solved and there was little they could do to further the cause save log reports. Many of the people I remember from back in those days were anything but *lunatic fringe types*. There were a large number of ex military people who were seeking some explanation of something they had seen for themselves.

People would love you think that the world of Ufology was littered with the proto Ickes of the modern age. it wasn't anything like that at all. If anything, in Britain, it was really rather staid and boringly down beat in the way it was dealt with. The very fact there seemed to be so much evidence was as *sexed up* as it need be. The ramifications were, at that time, flabbergasting in themselves. There really wans;t a need to produce ever more weird reports to be heard it was quite * weird* enough in itself. The idea you seem to postulate that, the inter dimensional explanation was just tossed out there for effect, is utter bunk. it was arrived at after long hours of, at times, passionate discussion between people who would not take kindly to being called *fringe thinkers*.

They were in fact, quite well aware how hard it was going to be to push the idea and didn't take to it lightly. In the end, given the data, it seemed the best fit explanation, despite not having solid scientific theory to back it up and to many still does.

THAT WAS GREAT!

I loved every minute of it. That movie even has Uri Geller in it. Oh so many memories. I used to be quite the UFO buff myself way back in the 70s. Books, magazines, movies, I ate it all up. Now I'm going to have to find all the old movies I watched about UFOs and the paranormal and see them again. One of them is on the same page with this movie.. Its "UFOs Are Real". But when you click on it says unavailable.
Too bad, I remember that a being a good one.

Thanks for posting that Firemoon. Any links to good old movies I find. Like this one I'll post here.

Right off the top of my head I'm going to have to find the documentary about the Bermuda Triangle narrated by Vincent Price.

EDIT: Found it.

Thank you for posting this video. TNT used to show it in pretty heavy rotation during the 1990s on it's MonsterVision program, Although it is a bit (understatement) cheesy and though I thought it was rubbish at the time, sometimes I wonder if its conclusions may be on the spot.

You have to admit its an interesting looking in to the history of Ufology. You can see a lot of the begginigs of current day UFO theory.

The capsule summary is entertaining:

Summary: Ladies and gentleman: A documentary completely devoid of facts! And no, I'm not talking about Bowling for Columbine. UFO "expert" W. Gordon Allen attempts to reveal the "proof" of the existence of UFOs. After a non-stop ninety-minute voiceover that shatters all rules of grammar, logic, and simple common sense, he reveals absolutely nothing about UFOs. In fact, he reveals a negative amount of information about UFOs. This is a documentary so deranged, so misguided, so incomprehensible, you'll seriously wonder if people with actual mental deficiencies were involved. And if they ever got help.

Actually the whole thing is pretty entertaining, I'm LMAO reading it, thanks for posting it!

Overlords of the UFO is a total classic. You need to watch the rod serling collection now (UFO's it has begun, ancient astronauts, and the outerspace connection).

I tell you I miss those old documentaries...they dont make them as grand any more.

Thanks for posting this oldie FireMoon,
I did not watched all the footage but stepped in a way through it.
I did have to look in my translation dictionary to see the real meaning of the name “UFO Overlords” they give back then and I find it actually a quite fitting name.

It’s the overall message in this footage what really counts, namely the reality of the presence of UFOs/UAPs/ETs in our skies and therefore of course also in space.
