All these reports came from a single article that was worded as a question so it had wiggle room to be published in a respectable paper.. it's very false.

... but if the Iron Cross was on the "craft", it would easily be identifiable as a Nazi object. Flying up the Thames, that's what witnesses recognized, so they knew it was from Germany...

But that doesn't mean they knew what it was.... it was still a Nazi flying object of unknown type, this is just an exercise in semantics.

No, the craft needs to be identified before it loses UFO status. Just knowing where it was made is not enough.

Hate to burst your bubble, but you do realize that a simple 35mm film holds a lot more 'information' than todays top consumer digital camera's. Not only the resolution, but also the grayscale information is a lot higher on analogue film, specially when the shot is taken with quality lenses.

On top of that, 35mm is not the only format out there. You have 35mm, 75mm, 6x6 (cm), 4"/5"...
Resolutions go way up on those formats and the original shot is probably (I'm assuming this now) shot with a Hasselblad 6x6 camera.
