TWELVE Afghan truck drivers taking supplies to US-led coalition bases in southern Afghanistan have been kidnapped by suspected Taliban and had their
vehicles burned, an official said today. news.com.au...
Could it be that the Taliban are going to increase op's due to the Iraq hand-over?
It could also be related to the recent killing and beheading of 2 Afghans by the Taliban, and the subsequent retaliation by the ANA on 4 Taliban.
Maybe it is a sign of things to come; an increase in hostilities.
I'm surprised that the convoy was not escorted by troops.
