I am a new member here. I noticed though that next to nothing is here about Darfur. Collin Powell and Kofi Annan from the UN are in the Sudan now.
They will be travelling to the Darfur region on Wensday.
I was shocked and haunted by the Pulitzer Prize winning picture in 1994 from Kevin Carter. It was of a vulture following a emaciated baby who was
barely alive from starvation. I don't know how to post pictures here. But it is easy to find from google. Kevin Carter couldn't do anything for this
child. And that probably haunted him more then anyone cause he committed suicide three months later.
There is now widespread belief that this is going to happen again. One reporter I read quoted 1000000 people will die if there is no help and possibly
only 300000 will die if help comes soon.
Not to blame you all here. But how can you all ignore this?
