Violet Jones - Poem/Prophecy

This is making the EMAIL rounds. It's supposedly a poem/prophecy from 1933.
Google has revealed nothing that I could find. Does anyone know about this? What do you think?

A poem, under a picture of the Washington Monument:

Granite needle to the sky,
Earthquake, many people die.
Solid structures break like glass,
Prophecies have come to pass.

End approaching, few take heed.
Love of money, lust and greed.
War clouds threaten - poison gas,
Prophecies have come to pass.

Chaos, ruin in all lands,
Solid structures? Shifting sands.
People suffering all en-mass,
Prophecies have come to pass.

Invasion - wings of steel overhead,
Panic, devastation spread.
Sky is darkened - Sun overcast,
Prophecies will come to pass.

Dismal picture, but take heart,
Not completed - just a part.
Redemption is approaching fast,
Prophecies MUST come to pass.

Still no verification On Ms. Jones, though, but it seems this has been around for a while now.

The date seems to be accurate. At least, i think so. I'm finding it attached to other things from that time period. It describes what could be WWII .. or something bigger yet to come. (the 'yet to come' potential is what I'm interested in) But I can't find ANYTHING on the author of the poem. Nothing to verify or debunk. It's making the rounds and curiousity makes me wonder about it.

Well first off, was it presented in the email as a prophecy or what? If it is a prophecy, then if/when a major earthquake hits Washington, DC, we'll be able to directly attribute this prophecy to it because apparently Washington, DC has no history of major earthquakes:

earthquake.usgs.gov...

No historical earthquake has been centered within the District of Columbia.

Secondly, I found something interesting... did you know that Alex Jones' wife is named Violet Jones? There's a couple of search results that point to that as being true. However, I didn't find any information on an historical (1933) Violet Jones.

To me, it describes the mood of a world which was experiencing the Depression and could see the Second World war coming.
If it was prophecy, it was adequately fulfilled within a decade.

People are saying they think the poem is prophecy.
It DOES talk about prophecy etc .. so I can see the connection.
But nothing about where it originally was found accompanies the emails.

AHA!!!! That's interesting. Coincidence or could that be the source?
Hmmm .. a hoax circulating or the real deal .... hmmm ... dunno.

I didn't find any information on an historical (1933) Violet Jones.

I found it attached to other 'prophecy' of that time period.
Of course, I don't have any original stuff and it could have been added by just about anyone at a later time.

I hear ya'. The 'wings of steele' part seems to be of that time period. We would probably get hit with ICBMs instead of airplanes. But back then an ICBM in a vision could have been interpreted as an airplane. 'Earthquakes' could be real earthquakes or symbolic of the time period. Could be anything I suppose.
