I didn't circumcise my son. If he wants it, he can get it when he's old enough to make the decision himself. I leave him with all options. I am comfortable that this is the most respectful way to treat him.

Some people try at-home sex-change operations. If there's something to do, someone somewhere is trying to do it.

From what I saw on the links I posted (both pro and con), the surgery is more risky and painful as the patient gets older.

The United States had until recently a tradition of personal liberty that viewed questions like circumcision as larger a personal or family matter, rather than something to be mandated or banned by local government.
