Nation states are dead: EU chief says the belief that countries can stand alone is a 'lie and an illusion'

www.dailymail.co.uk

The age of the nation state is over and the idea that countries can stand alone is an ‘illusion’ and a ‘lie’, the EU president believes.

In one of the most open proclamations of the goal of a European superstate since the heyday of Jacques Delors, Herman Van Rompuy went on to denounce Eurosceptism as the greatest threat to peace.

Tory backbenchers condemned the inflammatory comments in the speech made by Mr Van Rompuy to mark the 21st anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Oh yes, ladies and gents, the New World Order elite has been at war with the rest of us for quite some time now and have been very successfull.

Nations states are dead, and the top dogs of usury finance are rubbing their hands with glee.

This man, Herman Van Rompuy, was installed as EU President by the Bilderberg Group.

This shadowy elite club do not want nation states. They want a New World Order, a one world totalitarian government and a one world currency, controlled by the elite families.

While the masses are too hypnotized to wake the F*** up or make any kind of stand.

With respect. Nobody cares what this plonker says, he is a nobody with no power over anything other than how many Belgium buns should be at the next meeting.

Yes you are right, we should stop caring about what he says because every word he utters is not true and he hasn't got much influence being the President Of the European Council.

Herman Van Rompuy: 'Euroscepticism leads to war' Euroscepticism leads to war and a rising tide of nationalism is the European Union's "biggest enemy", Herman Van Rompuy, the president of Europe has told a Berlin audience.

Mr Van Rompuy linked hostility to the EU, and the idea that countries could leave the Union, to a revival of aggressive nationalism.

"We have together to fight the danger of a new Euroscepticism. This is no longer the monopoly of a few countries," he said. "In every member state, there are people who believe their country can survive alone in the globalised world. It is more than an illusion: it is a lie."

The controversial comments made on Tuesday come less than a fortnight after David Cameron, the Prime Minister, declared that he was a Eurosceptic after his gruelling Brussels summit battle to block a sharp increase in the EU budget at a time of national austerity.

Telegraph

And we all know how much of a 'Eurosceptic' Cameron is.

It's like the British politician Nigel Farage stated. Van Rompuy has the intention to be the "quiet assassin of European Democracy and all the European Nation states".

This guy Van Rompuy has more power than the German chancellor Angela Merkel, the French Sarkozy or the British Prime Minister Cameron and hardly any European know that this is the President of the EU.

Just so your up to speed regarding this particular person.

Herman Van Rompuy was one of the candidate nominations of the Bilderberg group and Trilateral commission for EU President post. On 19 November 2009, he was elected the first permanent President of the European Council, after Britain dropped its backing for Tony Blair. Mr. Van Rompuy will assume his position on 1 January 2010.

Secondly, the E.U. block is exactly that, its a financial block.

Well, i wouldn't say he has no power, although i understand your point of view, but the fact is, you do not reach that position by obeying orders.

Unfortunately he was chosen by the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderburg Group. Says it all really.

*** Ah Tristar beat me to it ****

Herman Van Rompuy, the Belgian Prime Minister, broke his silence before Thursday’s summit to choose the president — but only at a meeting of the secretive Bilderberg group of top politicians, bankers and businessmen.

I note that the small sovereign nation of Iceland is recovering rather well from the fiscal crash, in large part because it has been able to devalue its currency by 75%. European states that are members of the euro - like Ireland and Greece - are unable to do this and as a result remain weak and helpless, totally dependent on other countries and the strings-attached support of the IMF for survival.

Van Rompuy is talking nonsense as usual.

That's all well and good, but the problem is that nationalism is the way the vast majority of the world identifies itself. Globalization is inevitable, but the hardest part of its implementation will be breaking down the plethora of political, social, and religious barriers which the world has. Many in leading governments want globalization now, but most people across the globe simply are not ready for it.

If you look at the current e.u. members and then study how they were back in 1917-1950 you will see exactly were all this global uncertainty is heading. Now your thinking about the various articles you have read or heard, the fact is, the parallel lines have been drawn and nations are actively choosing alliances.

Just an elaboration on my previous post: This is where the Unions come in--Africa, European, with an eventual Asian, South American, North American, yadda, yadda, yadda. Having people experience losing their country for a regional union sets the table nicely for an eventual merger of the unions into a world government, court, etc.

If any of you guys haven't read it, this article is good and pretty much on the money regarding the EU plutocracy.

Former Soviet Dissident Warns For EU Dictatorship

Vladimir Bukovksy, the 63-year old former Soviet dissident, fears that the European Union is on its way to becoming another Soviet Union. In a speech he delivered in Brussels last week Mr Bukovsky called the EU a “monster” that must be destroyed, the sooner the better, before it develops into a fullfledged totalitarian state. Mr Bukovsky paid a visit to the European Parliament on Thursday at the invitation of Fidesz, the Hungarian Civic Forum. Fidesz, a member of the European Christian Democrat group, had invited the former Soviet dissident over from England, where he lives, on the occasion of this year’s 50th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Uprising. After his morning meeting with the Hungarians, Mr Bukovsky gave an afternoon speech in a Polish restaurant in the Trier straat, opposite the European Parliament, where he spoke at the invitation of the United Kingdom Independence Party, of which he is a patron.
