I've been stocking up on whole Wheat and Oats from the local feed store for when the SHTF, last week whole wheat was $12 for a 50 lb bag...today it's $16 a 50 lb bag...up 25% in 1 week.
Look for foods in the stores made from wheat to do the same thing in a week or two. Prepare for food prices to soar and or food shortages NOW..!!!!

Its been a kind of a bad year for wheat.

Next year if its the crops are good then prices will fall back down. Thats how its always worked.

Right so why the big warning to stock up now?

There won't be any shortages and like always the price will go back down. Nothing to get to concerned over unless it happens for a couple more years in a row and then there might be a small problem, but doubtful. We would just import from another place who had a good year and food prices might go up a little, but there won't be a shortage.

The reason prices are skyrocketing is because of the devalueing of the dollar. The more money the Fed prints the less it is worth, simple as that.
