o when an eminent member of the House of Lords stands up six hours into a debate and blows the gaff on a shadowy foreign Foundation making a bid to buy the British state, and this is recorded in Hansard, one tends to sit up and take notice. And one takes even more notice when His Lordship tip-toes around actually naming the Foundation in question, especially after the throw-away about money-laundering for the IRA on behalf of the Bank of England. Parliamentary privilege only stretches so far, it seems, and Foundation X is beyond its reach. I'm going to quote at length below the cut — if you want to read the original, search for "1 Nov 2010 : Column 1538" which is where things begin to tip-toe into Robert Ludlum territory. The thread title is misleading and innaccurate.

The mystery group is apparently wanting to invest in UK, or donate, or whatever you want to call it. The phrase about the UK government being bought was presented as a question mark in the article you refer to, and was that person's own take on a situation. Now you present the hyothesis as a fact when it isnt/

Sensationalist, inaccurate, misleading thread titles seem be a growing trend on ATS. Surely we can do better on this site than use the same ploys as the trashy, zionist owned mass media.

Deny ignorance or create it?

I wouldn't quite say it's an inaccurate headline, since the true outcome of this proceeding was most likely unpublished. The fact that they are comparing bullion amounts to the Vatican is just used as an accounting measure. The truth is we don't know if this "donation" is truly without strings attached, but merely a ploy to create a safe and seemingly secure agreement in the forefront. It's quite possible the Parliament has agreed to these underdealings and we being the public are not privy to the details of the deal. It's quite possible this was actually carried out, for us to know is of no importance, but just to speculative thinking on our end. Hence ATS.

Well, based on the knowledge which is available, I do consider it inaccurate.....because, as you say, we know nothing about this, except what has been in the MSM, and we all know how unreliable/censored/partisan/collusive they are.
