Fiat-Money Vs Tribalism

Was at a Halloween party just recently.
Arya was talking about selling tribally produced goods.
and making reference to specializing in production.
Loki was saying how that could work in a multicellular organism.

The sole purpose of money, is to get other people, to do something for you, or to give you something.
So really we can do the same thing with promissory notes, or price-calculated barter.

There are several issues with the current economic system. Depreciating value of currency, exported production, as well as banking and government monopolies.
What that means is, that average people are working exponentially more simply to get the same standard of living.

There are alternatives to working for fiat-money,
for instance a simple option is welfare.
A long term option being a tribe.

Also resarch has been found that people are happiest when their incomes are around $10,000 a year.
Coincidentally I happen to fall into this happiest category.

Research has also found that for intellectual work,
to work optimally only the basics must be attained,
so that people can be of the abundance mind-set,
and they could go on being productive.

Our goal is to have a standard of of living, and then improve upon it.
So that for our elder years, we have a community we can enjoy being a part of.
So to that end we'd have to form a stable community, such as a tribe.

In a tribe we'd be able to live in the abundance mind-set,
since forest-gardens provide us with abundance of foods,
and fabrication laboratories with on-demand products.

So it seems like generally there could be four stages of tribal membership:
0. non-member: attended some parties (meetings)
1. honorary members: attended and were initiated
2. nearby members: living within walking distance of each-other
3. full members: living and participating in tribal activities together

So am wondering:
what level of involvement you'd like to achieve?
Or what level have you achieved with your social-connections,
and how does it feel to be so incorporated or tribal?

general ranking elections every winter-solstice. project-elections on the equinoxes.

Focuses for projects could be:
territory (boat, land)
sustenance (plants, mushrooms, algae)
production (furnace, tools, molds)

So I'd love to know what you think.
If there is anything you'd like to mention.
Also any ideas you might have about our futures.

Communes have attempted this for quite some time. However, inevitably, you will usually want goods not produced by the commune (i.e. tribe), so you'll need to work out some way of obtaining them from these outside vendors.

Barter may be the solution, but how many chickens equal a flat screen TV? Can it be done? Sure. But there are challenges.

Samta and I agree that Arya's Idea of selling lashed together furniture is great.

there could be some scarce resources we decide to attain.
we can help estimate the value of the item with price-calculation.
so really money can be used with tribalism.

though we could rely on tribe for most food and products.
There are also many other forms of attainment.

Biological-cells for instance send out messengers, which find the resource that they desire, and then return it to the cell.

just as traditionally in tribes people can find various items in an environment and make what is wished with available tools.

i guess there is no vs, it's all co-operation.
it's really us.

even fiat could be used, though it's the amount of fiat
would have to be recalculated regularly,
due to it's inherit inflation.

Barter may be the solution, but how many chickens equal a flat screen TV?

price-calculation formula
mass^chakra = price

a chicken weight about 1.5kg
animal so chakra >= 2.5,
relatively primitve animal so lets say chakra 2.7

chickenMass^chickenChakra
1.5^2.7

37inch flat-screen tv 15kg
for choosing-expression so chakra 3.5

tvMass^tvChakra
15^35

so lets put that together algebraically
tvMass^tvChakra = (chickenMass*amount)^chickenChakra

get root of chickenChakra on both sides
root(tvMass^tvChakra,chickenChakra) = chickenMass*amount

divide both sides by chickenMass to isolate amount
root(tvMass^tvChakra,chickenChakra)/chickenMass = amount

and inputting the formula values
root(15^3.5, 2.7) / 1.5 = approx. 22.308557

so such a tv is worth about 22 chickens, and 1 chick.
root(15^3.5, 2.7) = approx. 33.462836
or about 33.5 kg of chicken-level animal-mass.

with dogs weighing about 13kg at chakra 2.9
root(15^3.5, 2.9) = approx. 26.267605 kg
root(15^3.5, 2.9) / 13 = approx. 2.020585 dogs
so about 2 medium sized dogs.

But there are challenges.

sure, algebra is a skill to learn,
and certainly beneficial to have a calculator.

To make it easier for pattern-matching-brains.
We could make conversion tables,
converting products to some standard product,
like dried food.

Also could have computers calculate prices,
including things like abundance on the market.
though the market itself could provide those values.

the buyer can also set the utility,
so if it's less than 1, they are willing to buy cheap,
if it's greater than 1, they are willing to pay more.
for instance perhaps they could have a high utility for prefered items,
wheras they could have a low utility for items they have in surplus.

There was nothing on TV last night, so we traded it in for some chicken-chakra.
