Breaking news on CNN right now. Obviously seems connected to the other incidents with aircraft in the news this morning. Wonder what alerted them to need to follow this Jet into JFK? No other information at this time, will post as more becomes available. They haven't posted a full article yet it is just a breaking news headline.

(CBS/ AP) Canada diverted two F-18s from a regular mission to escort an “aircraft of interest” that was passing through Canadian air space. When it left Canadian air space and passed into U.S. territory, it was picked up by two F-15s which are escorting it now to JFK, reports CBS national security correspondent David Martin. A source told CBS News that it was a passenger plane, UAE Flight #201 from Dubai to Yemen, now expected to arrive at JFK at 3:23 p.m. According to NORAD, the fighter escort is being done “out of an abundance of caution.” Sources told CBS News the fighter escort was ordered only because the plane is coming from Yemen - and that there were no threats or suspicious packages aboard. The escort comes as authorities on three continents were investigating whether suspicious packages shipped from Yemen to Chicago religious sites were part of a terrorist plot.

All these `Not Bombs` are very suspicious to me . Would we be told if bombs were found on multiple incoming planes?

Ya seems a little odd, why would "terrorists" go through the trouble of sneaking things on planes that arn't explosives? Unless they are just testing to see if they can get through, but that seems like a bit of waste to show your cards for nothing?

Why do you Assume " Terrorists " were attempting to Test the US Goverments Readyness in responding to a Possible Attack ? Fact is , ANYONE in Yemen could of done this Including Undercover CIA Operatives in that Country . Let's just wait and see how this Drama plays out OK ? ............Stay Tuned..

This could definitely be a dry run considering the fake device on the toner cartridge. As the picture below shows, the device was homemade and intended to cause concern. The device looks like someone mounted the inside of a cell phone to the cartridge.

Isn't the use of Military Force on civilian elements, regardless of why (or at what altitude), a violation of the Posse Commatotos (sp)???

Since when does the US Military swing into action for civilian issues ... This is even just "suspected".

Civil air controllers should be fine with rerouting the plane over unpopulated areas.

OR if they want to be REAL butts ... Tell the pilots to ditch if its a cargo plane....

Wow, Zanti Misfit I like how you think. This could be a false flag, and just for the reasons you describe. Yes, some chumps in our government may have paid off some gullible people overseas to send such packages in order to create such an incident. Obviously the gullible people will be caught and they will not be able to point out who handed them their project of sending packages that would put suspicion into the forefront.

Obviously, those that are to gain financially look like the ones to really be suspicious of, and that is people in our own defense department. If they don't catch all of the people in this perpetration, then we must conclude that it is a false flag set up within some department within our government in order to get more funding.

It's possible that any electrical device you buy from the shops could potentially have a mini device planted inside it....

we could all be carrying around laptops or mobiles with a device which is timed to explode.....

Well , at 415 EST , Obama will give a Press Conference to address this event . Let's see what he says.............Hmm.

All I can add is that I think the timing is pretty concerning, not just the timing for the upcoming US elections but also European leaders are in major meetings (Budgets/Changes to Lisbon Treaty).. plenty of reasons to distract those of us in Europe and the USA from what the establishment are really up to.

True, however, it is usually noticeable when a new product has been tampered with because it never seems to go back together correctly. It never seems to look pristine like it does when it comes from the factory especially considering lots of consumer products these days are not meant to be consumer serviceable and are sealed to some degree.

The Dems are down in the Polls , maybe the Pres. is trying to Stage an Event to Distract us , or to curtail attention from the Races . I wouldn't put it past him knowing he is getting desperate to do something about loosing the Dems Majority in the House and Possiblly the Senate when the Results are Announced . Or am I just Imagining things ? ........Hmm.........
