You can pretty much make this kind of argument about any nation on Earth. Everyone either has some unique asset or some common asset in abundance. Or offers some strategic, political, or economic advantage.

There are some countries you couldn't walk into and take what you want.

Then there are those less able to protect themselves, who can be taken advantage of.

Can't what? I am just saying that all countries on Earth (whether or not you are capable is irrelevant) have some sort of unique asset or advantage. Therefore you can always concoct some "secret agenda" for an invasion, partnership or other action.

I am not so sure 4 billion dollar worth of Lithium would be worth billions a year to be there. Then again if you need lithium, you cant replace it with any ammount of dollar bills.

How much are we talking about here? Half of the world reserves, far more, far less?

As it is not, I dont see why this should be the driving force behind their acts.

I think that this may be my second prediction to come true here on ATS

Can I ask the mods of ATS to put my OP back up and take down the massive banner where it is stated that it is lies. That was pretty harsh considering this and most of my other threads are coming true also.

One of which was where i predicted the situation in Egypt and was correct.

I would ask also that ATS members need to start working together to get to the truth and work out their differences on a global scale. The sharing of knowledge has been replaced with a one that monopolizes knowledge.

Knowledge is a God given gift and the sharing of it. Sharing of knowledge does not and was not meant to be turned into something that can be used to profit financially or socially.

Take the save the children appeals and all of the fund raising and charitable events to help those in need. The only problem is raising funds. Funds which are required to buy and pay for food, clothing and medicines. Live Aid was a big one yet still to this day famine and poverty exists,

there is no excuse really though is there, because when you really look at it as i do, you will be gutted because the only reason poverty and famine still exists is because of us.
We are to blame because Aid is determined in quantity based on cost and not through weight. Aid was never meant to be at a cost.
We have put a pricetag on everything, and we still allow it.
Save The Children Appeal asks for money to save lives and help put an end to poverty and famine at the very same time and date where there are companies, CEO's, bankers etc etc getting bonuses that could effectively put an instant end to the whole scenario.

Then again if i was a Prime Minister or President Aid would not be at any cost what so ever. Aid would be donated to promote recovery, prevent it from happening again, and to preserve what we have. We as a species have become fine in the art of planet wrecking and putting money before each other.

Maybe a good kick up the arse is what we need.
But hey, when the day comes and those of us that have made it and are kneeling before God asking for forgiveness because we allowed the # to happen, and when i say # i mean the countless lives lost through the wars that we have allowed to take place, all in the name of what? who? why? Doesn't make any sense to me. You can buy lithium on the world market, I believe Chile has about a third of the world's known supply. You don't have to deploy tens of thousands of troops at the cost of billions to obtain it.

Anyway, how does this supposedly key motive tie in with the projected US troop withdrawals ?
