I don't see it as disinformation at all. When you have a company that is owned either in part or in majority by a foreign government and they are
influencing government through contributions, then you have to question whether there may be a conflict of interest.
In fact, this is the exact thing that I was saying just after the legendary SCOTUS ruling that gave corporations the same rights as individuals.
Because many corporations are multinationals and in part owned by foreign governments, we are basically extending our Constitutional protections to
foreign countries and since our Constitutional only protects us from our own government itself, a government that intended to be of, by and for the
American people, it is a clear conflict of interest.
No matter how you look at this, foreign governments or corporations should not be influencing our elections, regardless of whether they have a
subsidiary here or not. Our founding fathers never intended anyoner other than American citizens to be protected under the Constitution, especially in
matters that pertain to government mechanics.
Corporations by themselves, regardless of whether they are foreign owned or locally owned, already have a conflict of interest when they influence
government and because they have more money and greater influence, they are always going to impede on the rights of the individual to have his say in
the direction of this government. When you add to that foreign ownership, it makes it much worse.
Another reason why that was such a bad SCOTUS ruling and contradictory to the Constitution, is that almost every Corporation has some foreign
ownership, to include foreign government and foreign entities aren't supposed to have any influence on our elections. It basically kills the idea of
sovereignity and is contrary to not only the intentions of our founding fathers, but also the interests of Americans and our country as a whole.
