Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, in an exclusive interview airing at 1 p.m. Tuesday on Newsmax.com, discusses her staunch opposition to President Barack Obama's healthcare plans and socialistic policies, and reveals new details about a possible presidential run in 2012.

She also warns that allowing Iran to acquire nuclear weapons may "lead to Armageddon" — a scenario that could lead to the deaths of millions in a Third World War.

Palin's comments came as Newsmax launched a special series of online webcasts entitled "Make America Great Again" — a title taken from Ronald Reagan’s campaign slogan when he was elected president in 1980.

Jump on board the Crazy Train. Palin has thrown off the restraints put on her when she was running for Vice President and reveals her true colors on a trusted conservative network. Notice also that she does not say she won't run again in 2010. Does anyone else think she looks like she's on speed?

The Republicans, especially the Tea Party Republicans, have a roster of many absolute nut jobs for the coming November elections. It should translate into easy wins for the Democrats. But then again, maybe not. As H.L. Mencken said, "Nobody ever went bankrupt by underestimating the intelligence of the American public."

Yes she is quite something lol.

The thing is, that she hasn't thought about is this: If we attack Iran, the chance of a 3d world war is possible. If we don't attack Iran there is a greater chance there won't be a 3d world war.

If there are any christian Bible believers. Iran might be the red horseman. If the US push to hard on Iran. Iran might be forced to ambush the American fleet at some point.

The good thing is that I have started seeing a trend among conservatives...that even they think Palin is crazy now. Even some of the most hard core "I hate that Muslim/Antichrist/Hitler Obama" are starting to say that Palin isn't qualified to be President.

There are some holdouts...but they won't matter.

Exactly.
This woman does not think.
When she goes off script, or tries to comment on "real" issues, her ignorance shines.
And she is so popular that she says idiotic things and gets away with them.
Anyone who points this out is "liberal" scum or a misogynist.
It's inconceivable that one could simply be pointing out that the Emporer is naked.

Nobody comes to the lady's defense?

After all, I posted a link to Newmax, one of the biggest conservative news outlets, so it's not like it's from Rachel Maddow or any other truly liberal media. This is apparently what some conservatives, at least, are thinking.

Maybe her supporters feel it would be futile. I, for one, would welcome their input as well.

Wow you [snip] are more brainwashed than I thought. You simply mouth off that Sarah is crazy without listening to anything she said. In fact everything she talked about was right on. Here were her main points,

1) Free market capitalism works, socialism has been a dismal failure everywhere it's tried.
2) Obama is doing the exact wrong thing to help the economy, particularly with huge tax increases during a recession.
3) It turns out Sarah was right about the death panels. ( In fact my company has implemented them as part of their health care policy in compliance with Obamacare.)
4) Ahmadinejad is a huge threat to peace and Iran with nukes could launch Armegeddon.
5) The US must retain a military option for responding to any Iranian threat. (This is in contrasts to Obamas new position of the US just taking in any nuclear attack and unilateraling dying.)

There were a few more things she said but they were all right on and common sense. The kneejerk response to Sarah is laughable, proving that liberals can't think independently from their corporate masters, the banksters who run the crony capitalism that controls all the media. The banksters like taxes because they suck them up as part of their various debt machinations. So what does a [liberal] do? They scream for more taxes to help the "little people". The little people would be better off with jobs and proper moral training.

I think you've been misinformed. Heck I'm not surprised to see the Liberal brain wash comment from you.
It's a funny thing to see people support Sarah Palin. It's a sad thing to see people believe she is Presidential material over Barack Obama.

You are correct in may respects. The [liberals] (huffington / Kos smokers) are as bad or worse than the ditto heads. No independent thought, no verifying information... all party talking points. Pretty much automatons which emotion and not reason rules.

I am an issues person. Trying to even discuss an "issue" with the automatons is impossible. If the huffington post has an opinion, it is their opinion. Facts are irrelevant.

I am not a Palin fan.. .she is the new "conservative" Oprah to me. But reason on any topic is a very difficult with zealots... they are almost "religious" in their views with the "party" as their god.

Wall Street funds BOTH political parties and our "elected representatives" participate in grand theft on a daily basis while all of us argue "Left this" and "Right that". Until the Huff Po & Ditto head crowds get a clue and understands that BOTH parties are robbing the American people blind and supporting the SAME paymasters nothing will be solved. Left and Right supporters "rally" around a political party like a "Sports Team". If you tolerate corruption because it is "your team" then you are an idiot. If you tolerate deciept and lies if it is "Your Team" then you are unprincipled. This is not a competitive sports game for entertainment. People lives and our children's future hang in the balance. Don't let the elite of this nation keep you from demanding solutions and transparency from our lawmakers. Don't allow lawmakers to have a "pass" because of the D or R after their name. Stop playing the game and demand solutions and accountability.” Stop giving them passes when they are performing backroom deals and openly bribing politicians for their vote. It is shameful.

Correct. This is one thing I like about the Tea party movement. They aren't afraid to target miscreants and bankster bootlickers from either party. The fact that they've had the most success infiltrating the replican party is really just an artifact of GOP rhetoric of fiscal conservatism (never really enacted) is closer to their agenda, and the fact that the democratic party is now so far to the left that it is no different from the communist party USA. (In fact the communist party USA sued the dem.s for stealing their platform in the last election lol.)

First, Seven, I admire your courage in posting in this thread and appreciate your sharing your point of view.

To keep this thread civil, though, I would discourage the use of derogatory words like "libtard" and rants like calling all of us incapable of thinking for ourselves. It just turns a thread like this one into partisan mud-slinging on both sides.

Also, I would like to emphasize again that the article I linked was from a VERY conservative news source, so I suspect many people on the right are not supportive of Palin either.

I disagree with many of the points you say are just common sense. They may be common but they are not necessarily sensible.

For example, I disagree that total free market capitalism would be the perfect remedy for what ails us. It is a popular notion among libertarians and people who cannot see the evils side of capitalism, but it is a utopian notion that works well on paper and in theory but in actual practice it doesn't work. Like most utopian schemes.

We had almost completely free markets during the industrial revolutions in the U.S. and England. I am talking mostly about the mid-nineteenth to the first decade or so of the twentieth century. It is aptly called the era of the "robber barons" because a handful of people became excessively rich, often through unscrupulous and dishonest business transactions.

Meantime, half the entire population were dirt poor. The social conditions were deplorable. They were paid less than anybody could possibly live on. There were no regulations governing the safety of the workplace, the hiring of children, the hundred hour work weeks. If a worker was seriously injured on the job there was no workers' compensation; he or she would just be fired because of inability to do their jobs. Many injured workers and their families lived and died completely destitute. The capitalist owners of the means of production had no concern for the welfare of their workers and had no conscience about their exploitation. Without a public outcry and the organizing of unions and the imposition of regulations they would still be treating their employees like disposable mules.

That's just one example of what happened in the days of laissez faire capitalism. Those who think that taking off more regulations would be the answer are just ignoring history,

Removing all government and civil interventions could well degenerate into a feudal system where there are a few nobles and all the rest are serfs. Each nobleman would attack the others for land and money, and of course the peasants would do all the fighting.

As the saying goes, "Every nobleman is descended from a gang of thieves."

Most of us do not believe in complete "unregulated" capitalism. That is dumb. We like safety laws and anti-monopoly laws... we like Choice and Competition. Today's version of capitalism is being more and more controlled by Government and that we don't like. Government picks and chooses which companies to hand out subsidies to (the companies that donate to their causes) and unfair regulations that are being imposed so that their interests can profit. It is pay to play and a majority of American business (the honest businesses) are loosing because the Government is providing unfair advantages to their "chosen" favorites.

There are 2 types of capitalism. Responsible and Irresponsible. Currently we have a hybrid Irresponsible Capitalism model overshadowed by subsidized government incentives which is the worst of both worlds.

Responsible capitalism is the practice of competition with anti-monopoly laws in place to prevent cornering a market. Responsible capitalism also takes into account both the needs of the "shareholder" and the companies "employees" in the form of wages. Responsible capitalism also infers making a safe product and complying with Federal safety regulations that are in place to protect the consumer.

Irresponsible capitalism is the practice of "profit at any cost"! Anti-monopoly laws have been bypassed, mega mergers are cornering the markets in Telecom, Media, and numerous other industries. Companies outsource in order to bypass labor laws, environmental protections, and safety concerns. Companies bribe Federal regulators and politicians to bypass safety regulations and receive government incentives and subsidies. Corruption.

As with any system, once corruption is allowed to grow, things go downhill, especially when Government is involved. The problems with Capitalism are not the concepts but the reality of unbridled corruption and political greed.

The democrats will be celebrating if Sarah is the best threat to Obama they can conjure up. A Fundamentalist Christian who quit her job in politics to be a talking head on Fox News and just parrots the same Conservative views as every other cookie-cutter conservative politician... Republicans better hope for a better candidate because even an Obama with a dismal amount of support will trounce Sarah Palin. Plus there's a whole bunch of people who won't elect her just because she's a woman, to go from the first black president to the first woman president would be too much change too quickly for many Americans.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Just because she can memorize lines doesn't make her a good choice for president. But when she wanders into unfamiliar territory (read: speaking her own mind) she doesn't just board the crazy train, she's the engineer.
