IRAQ'S defence minister said today he had drafted drastic measures to deal with unrest in Baghdad and was considering imposing a state of emergency
in parts of the violence-wracked country.
"We have an urgent plan for Baghdad and also for a state of emergency for other provinces," Hazem al-Shaalan told a press conference, without saying

Seems like good common sense - the first thing the terrorists and insurgents are going to want to do is test the resolve, response and readiness of
the interim government.
That city is going to be shut down tighter than a drum. But I still don't think it is going to do any good. There is still going to be trouble I'm
afraid. The terrorists/insurgents are just waiting for that day to arrive.
yes i heard on the news they were thinking of marshall law i think its a good idea all the iraqi citizens would stay inside so the only people running
around would be insurgents
