Is it any consolation that I'm outraged when it's suggested we go back to those policies? Or that we should give the reins back to the party who:
Opposes gay marriage
Opposes abortion
Opposes regulation of the banking industry
Thinks denying sick and poor people health insurance because they're already sick and poor is a good thing
Believes that we should gut our social programs and let people die off in some sick attempt to thin the herd and make the world a better place for the survivors
Believes that tax cuts don't cost anything
Cow-towing their fringe members and turning the country into a theocracy is alright, so long as it's their theocracy
Believing that public education isn't public enough because kids can't pray so everyone should be educated at home, working parents be damned
