i did google "real doll" and that is just wrong. if anything, i do believe that any long duration mission should be with paired couples. of course they'd have to be psycologically paired, and some sort of sterilization would have to take place.

I have to disagree, took a road trip to New Orleans from California with my girlfriend last year. We love each other and get along great but I swear to god we almost killed eachother a couple times and we're still on planet earth.

I think Real Dolls would be better than coupling on short missions like less than 2 years but anything longer coupling would probably be appropriate. Coupling causes more problems than it solves. You want to talk about murder? heh. In fact I think a single gender crew would be best. Don't shoot me ladies as I could live with an all female crew as easily as I could all males. Unless they build a true and very large exploration vehicle.

I agree, short like two years or so, anything longer than that it just gets weird. But, I do agree on the single sex crew either all male or all female for longer trips until we evolve more. It just cuts down on possible conflict.

Though if you send an all male crew into deep space for longer than two years, you better stock up on porn and real doll cyborgs. Even Einstein got horny.

dont think astronauts would be interested in playing computer games. Astronauts are highly intelligent people they would find far more constructive things to do with there time.

I agree if it's a short trip to like the moon or something, but boredom is boredom no matter how well educated or trained, you'll evenentually run out of ways to amuse yourself.

If we ever get to the point of true deep space exploration, this would of course include the big possiblity that we would never see these people again, there are going to be all sorts of things for the astronaughts, explorers and scientists to do. This will include video games on some level just so they don't snap when monopoly and chess pieces start missing.

Hey, dont diss video games, some of them are very tactical and problem-solving orientating... It might help to teach them real-life skills if they come to a hard bit..

I must agree having played several RPGs they would be a productive way to burn some serious downtime. Just imagine an onboard EQ server. With just six or eight people wandering around that vast world. They would be forced to learn to cooperate with each other. And possibly discover a whole host of personality quirks. They would then be able to work through them in game. Long before they have to on planet.
8 people on an EQ server.I would be so jealous.
